💬 DM “180” if you’re a woman battling peri-menopause, (menopause or are post-menopausal), exercising regularly, but still frustrated with how your body looks and feels.

At 49, Christine was doing enough cardio to identify as a Kenyan marathon runner😂

🚴 Cycling 14 km round-trip to work
🚶 Walking 13–14 km throughout her workday
🏊 Swimming 3 km multiple times a week

And despite ALL that activity?

She was exhausted, dealing with joint pain, and some days needed a nap before she could even think about making dinner.

Her biggest goal wasn’t actually weight loss.

She told me, “I want to be as capable as I can be for as long as I can be.”

She wanted to build muscle, get stronger, and feel better in her body as she got older.

So we changed the approach.

Instead of piling on more cardio, we focused on consistent nutrition, progressive strength training, and proper recovery.

We even had to tell her to cut back on the swimming. 😂

FAST FORWARD 5 MONTHS:

✅ 198 → 166 lbs. That’s 32 lbs lost.

✅ Visible changes in her waist and midsection. The before-and-after photos speak for themselves.

✅ Strength training progressed from machines toward more challenging free-weight exercises.

✅ A completely different conversation around nutrition. Instead of finding more ways to cut calories, we’re now focusing on fueling her body for strength and muscle development.

When Christine saw her progress photos, she described the difference as “insane in such a short time.”

And we’re not done.

Now the goal is to rebuild muscle, develop more strength and explosiveness, and keep improving what her body can DO.

Because at 49, being 32 lbs lighter is great.

But being stronger, more powerful, and capable of doing the things you love for the next 20–30 years?

THAT’S the bigger goal.

Ladies, your 40s and 50s shouldn’t be about seeing how little you can eat or how much cardio you can survive.

It’s about building a body that looks good, performs well, and keeps up with you.

💬 DM “180” if you’re ready to work toward the same.

I’ve coached a LOT of women who were doing pretty much everything they thought they were supposed to.

Lifting weights. Eating healthy. Getting their steps in. Trying to hit their protein.

Some even tried fasting, cutting carbs, or GLP-1s.

And yet, they’re still frustrated with how their body looks.

Then they hit their 40s, perimenopause enters the chat, and suddenly they’re convinced their metabolism has packed its s**t and moved to another country. 😂

But here’s what I’ve learned after coaching over 1,100 women…

Two women can have the exact same frustration and need two completely different solutions.

One might need to eat more consistently.

Another might need to stop treating her strength workouts like a warm-up.

And someone else might just need a nutrition plan that doesn’t fall apart every time life gets hectic.

So before you cut another 300 calories or start doing cardio like you’re training for the Olympics, how about figuring out what actually needs fixing?

I created a free assessment that helps women 35+ identify what might be holding back their fat loss and muscle-building results.

It takes a few minutes and gives you a personalized 7-day action plan based on your answers.

“I work out too much to look like I don’t.”

Ah yes, the glamorous fitness experience: putting in the hours and getting results that look suspiciously like you’ve been doing absolutely nothing.

That’s a frustrating place to be. Especially when everyone’s advice is to “just be consistent.”

Thanks, Susan. I’ve been consistently disappointed for eight months. But sure, I’ll just keep repeating the same plan and hope my muscles eventually file a formal complaint.

If you’re already showing up, you deserve some actual direction on what to change.

Not another inspirational quote from someone who thinks “listen to your body” counts as a training strategy.

There are only so many hours you can donate to this before your workouts start qualifying as a second unpaid job.

Ladies are yall not supposed to socialize during your cycle? Is that to prevent all of your cycles from syncing and unleashing the purge on mankind? I need to know 🤣

Serious tho. Cycle Syncing is another fitness industry fad meant to prey on women’s desperation for results

Auto-regulation = listening to your body and combining that with data to have a personalized approach to your goal….aka what any nutrition/performance coach worth a damn has been using for decades

Every week I talk to at least 100 women who are putting in real effort and getting nothing back for it.

It’s rarely a discipline problem. It’s usually one of these 5 things, and I’m not changing my mind on any of them.

Filmed before breakfast. Still applies after dinner.

6 hills that I die on a fitness coach that you need to accept if you want to make sure that the next 10 years has you looking better than the last 10

I don’t care what you looked like in college. I really don’t. I care what you’re gonna look like at 47

Everybody’s walking around holding up a photo from 2004 like it’s the Holy Grail. “I just wanna get back to THAT.” Back to what? You were 22. You ate pizza at 2am, slept four hours and your knees still worked. That wasn’t a fitness program. That was being 22. You didn’t earn that body, you got it for free, and it came with an expiry date.

So now what, you’re gonna get it back with salads and cardio until you hate everybody? Good luck. That’s how you end up smaller, cranky and still annoyed at the mirror.

And look, I’ll say it. You can build a better body now than you had back then. Stronger. More muscle. Carrying every grocery bag in one trip like a psychopath. Sarah did it. She looks better now than she did in her 20s, and she didn’t get there by chasing some old photo.

Your best body isn’t behind you. It’s in front of you. You just gotta stop doing the dumb stuff first.

Comment “BUILT” if you’re done chasing a photo from 2004 and want the plan that works now.

If you’re in peri/menopause, eating less and working out more might be the exact reason you feel like you’re trying harder while getting nowhere.

And no, I’m not saying hormones don’t matter.

They absolutely can change your sleep, hunger, recovery, energy and how much you move throughout the day.

What they don’t do is magically make fat loss impossible.

The problem is that most women respond to those changes by doubling down on the same strategy:

Eat less.
Add cardio.
Get stricter.

Which works great until you’re exhausted, starving by Friday and wondering why your waist still isn’t changing.

That’s why “just cut more calories” is usually the last thing I want to hear when someone tells me she’s stuck.

First, I want to know what actually changed.

Sleep.
Steps.
Food intake across the whole week.
Training quality.
Strength.
Recovery.

Because your body may have changed.

That doesn’t mean the rules stopped working. It means your plan needs to account for the body you have now, not the one you had at 32.

Swipe through the 3 mistakes I see most often before you decide the answer is eating even less.

If you’re ready to stop piecing this together on your own, DM me “COACHING” and I’ll show you how we’d approach this inside Built 180 Strong.

The women who DM me in their 40s are usually doing more than they did at 30.

More classes. Longer fasts. Carbs treated like a controlled substance.

And the scale hasn’t moved since spring.
When effort goes up and results go down, working harder is the last thing you need.

Fasting till noon feels productive until you’re eating granola out of the bag at 9pm.

Cardio every day feels productive until your legs are too cooked to lift anything heavier than your Stanley cup.

Count two things this week: how many days you lifted something heavy, and how many meals had 30g+ of protein. If both numbers are small and your cardio count is big, you’ve found the leak.

Want to know the first thing I’d change in your plan?

DM me RESET.
