1️⃣ Most men would like to train their legs more.
They simply believe training chest is the only option out there... 😜

a goat's shape is not aesthetic at all and I remind you that you don't walk with your arms... 🦌

2️⃣ Most women need to lift heavier weights. 💪

You won't progress if you're constantly doing 5-10lbs dumbbells and spending time on cardio machines because you feel like you sweat off all the fat... 💦

YES, strength training is as beneficial for women as men. 💯
NO you don't look like a man because you carry heavy loads

3️⃣ If you're struggling to lose weight, you're probably eating too many calories.

Well yes... 🤷 ♂️

4️⃣ You better drink as little alcohol as possible if you want to get in shape.

Alcohol is actually a poison for your body. 🤮

THIS IS THE NUMBER 1 PRINCIPLE TO GAINING MUSCLE...AND KEEPING IT!

They say in business, “find out what you’re passionate about”

“Enjoy what you do and never work a day in your life.”

“Enjoy the process and go all in”

Which I'd totally agree with.

However, trying to do this when you’re in a bad place physically, mentally and emotionally is impossible.

It’s like trying to fuel a car with cooking oil.

It will work short term before something has to give and it breaks down.

Having coached 1000s of men and women like yourself, I’ve noticed one thing that separates those who get world class results.

And those who drop off and end up the same 2,3, 5 years down the road.

It’s like business or making money…

Be in it for the long term, enjoy it and make it a hobby.

If you’re in it to make a quick buck, s**t normally hits the fan.

So find a routine that you enjoy and makes you feel good .

The best morning routine starts the night before

For all you Friday night wild stallions out there.

You can still have a strong energized morning the next day after a bit of a Beer and Buddies night out

Here's how:

Here’s 9 habits that make all the difference.

2. END THE DAY WITH A SHUTDOWN RITUAL.

I know its hard to switch off from business but try and at least shutdown for a few hours

No phone from 5-7pm while putting the kids to be for example.

Separating your life and work is key.

3. Write down tomorrow's tasks, time block using google calendar so you’re organized to be more productive the next day.

Wake up the next day READY.

4. PLAN YOUR EXERCISE

Know exactly what you’re training tomorrow and what time you will go to the gym.

Make time in the morning for a 20min walk to review the day ahead.

5. PACK SOME FOOD/SNACKS

People are the worst versions of themselves when they’re hungry. Bad choices are made when you’ve not eaten and added stress makes it worse & causes binge eating.

Start your day with high protein and fats so you avoid the sugar rollercoaster.

6 ALARM SETTING

Waking up in peace and getting quiet time is key for me so i wake up 90 mins before my kids.

I write and then take the dog for a walk

7 TIDY BEFORE SLEEPING

Tidy up before bed so you wake up in a better mindset and don't waste the first hours doing stuff you don't want to do.

The kids will double the mess In the frist few hours.

8. SWITCH OFF

30 mins before bed switch off handsets and workmode. Sit with your wife and maybe watch a series to wind down.

Also going to bed the same time every night will help with deeper sleep.

9. IMPROVE SLEEP/FIX DIGESTION

Don’t eat a few hours before bed and go for a walk after your dinner to help digest.

This is also a good time to plan your next day and be prepared.

Bonus tip* Before closing your eyes think of any current goals and just release it to your subconscious ( which will work on it overnight)

10. Believe In your heart that you’re capable of big things in your life.

The only thing standing in your way is yourself.

Remove your glass ceiling.

Walking during the pandemic saved my life

Rewind 3 years. Everything is shut down. No contact with any friends or family. We are shut in to our houses 🏘

What saved my sanity and mental health was daily walks 🚶🏾‍♂️

What type?

Not just any walks

Intentional purposeful walks

While you all gained the pandemic 40, I stayed lean and trim through morning and nightly power walks

No more than 15 mins each

So here is an experiment to try:

Go for short burst walks 🚶🏾‍♀️ (10 mins should be fine) in between meetings & calls

Walking is the new superpower

Why?

30 mins of intentional brisk walking will lower your blood pressure

Activate your body fat burn 🔥 zone 2

Clear your head and mental health

And give you an energy boost to tackle the rest of the day

Let me save you a few thousand bucks and give you a $3000 Facebook post.

If you’ve been thinking about buying a Peloton and your goal is to torch stubborn fat and get lean, you might want to put your credit card away.

Here’s why…

A Peloton is great for two things, and two things only:

#1. Helping get sedentary people off the couch.
#2. General cardiovascular fitness.

And contrary to what many people have been led to believe…
Those two things do NOT translate to sustainable fat-loss.

Not even close, actually.

Instead, here are the three things you should focus your time and energy on if your goal is to get lean and chiseled permanently:

#1. Strength Training 3x / Week

This will help you avoid “skinny-fat syndrome” by building size, shape, and hardness across key areas of your body. So when you torch that stubborn fat, you’ll have a masculine, Harder look and feel.

Prioritize large, multi-joint movements like pressing, pulling, squatting, and lunging 80% of the time.

And add in smaller, single-joint accessories like bicep curls, tricep extensions, and lateral raises 20% of the time.

For the best results, stick to full-body workouts and avoid the old-school “bro” splits.

#2. Managing Calorie & Protein Threshold
This is your primary driver for fat-loss and if done correctly, will allow you to torch that stubborn belly, love handle, and chest fat permanently while enjoying your favourite foods.

While these targets will vary greatly from person to person, here’s a good jumping-off point for most people.

Calories: Your bodyweight multiplied by 9, 10, or 11.
For example, if you weigh 200lbs, your calories will likely land somewhere between 1800 to 2200 / day.

Protein: 0.8-1.0 gram of protein - to your GOAL weight in grams. Example: if your goal weight is 200lbs then consume 160g grams of protein.

#3. Walking (Not running) 10,000 Steps / Day

Nailing your daily steps provides endless benefits.

Not only is this a great way to burn additional calories while enhancing recovery, but walking 10,000 steps every day is also associated with a profound decrease in all-cause mortality.
In other words…

If you want to live a long and healthy life free from disease and illness, get your steps in.

Deploy these three strategies religiously, meticulously, and consistently, and in a matter of 6 months you’ll be staring at a new man in the mirror.

Your soldier standing up in the morning upon waking is one of the best measuring sticks (pun intended) for your overall health

Of course it is natural for Male Test levels to decline as we age directly affecting your Morning Soldier

*Just because you hit an age number does not mean you should expect your soldier to work any less*

What is your priority?

Our bodies do what we ask of them.

Sit at your desk all day - your body will respond accordingly.

Stuff your face with garbage every night - your body will respond accordingly.

Bottle up stress - your body will respond accordingly.
Now, on the other hand…

Challenge your body in the gym - it will act accordingly.

Nourish and fuel your body - it will act accordingly.

Treat it with respect - it will act accordingly.

Point being, YOU are in control of how your body looks, feels, and performs.

Always have been. Always will be.

Most men will read this and keep self sabotaging.

But the few true action takers will read this and get to work.

Be one of the few.

Life’s short, Optimise It.

The biggest flawed logic I see in regards to “I’m focusing on my career & don’t have time to exercise” argument:

You might have more “time” because you don’t exercise & all the other healthy lifestyle habits.

but you are missing out on higher quality & more productive time.

When your body is healthy, your mind works sharper, you are able to focus more, think more clearly/creatively, & put in higher quality cognitive work.

When you’re unhealthy you’re disrupting your ability for your highest productive output:

- Hormones that fuel productivity are dysfunctional

- Mood & energy are lower

- Chronic low-grade inflammation causes brain fog & severely reduced cognition.

What people think they need to get in shape:

What people actually need:

1. 10k steps a day

2. Manage Calories & Protein

3. Strength train up to 4x a week for 45 mins

4. Wake up at the same time each day

Listen, I have been at this game for 8 wonderful years.

I’ve seen dozens of fads and gimmicks come and go.
But do you know what has always stood the test of time?

The fundamentals, because they work (just ask the hundreds of men I’ve helped torch 20, 40, and even 80lbs).

Get your ass up from your office chair and walk 10,000 steps every day.

Manage your calorie and protein intake appropriately with mainly whole, minimally processed foods.

Train your body hard 3-4 days each week either at the gym or at home.

Hold strong and stay consistent with this process for weeks, months, and years.

Make it part of who you are, not just something you do when it’s convenient.

And I promise you, you’ll become the fittest and healthiest version of yourself before you know it.
Leave the fads and gimmicks for the amateurs.
