Did you know that you can even take it one step further? Xylitol is a sweetener that is used in many chewing gums as well as some drinks and candies. It is a special alternative to sugar because it can actually neutralize the pH balance of your mouth over time, reducing bacteria content and making it more difficult for bacteria to attach to your teeth. This can help to prevent cavities from occurring. Our dental team effortlessly pulled together and dished out their impressive culinary skills to prepare our own 3-course french-inspired gourmet meal! Check out the photos of our French Onion soup, Seared Duck with layered Parmesan potatoes and Crepes Suzette! Great company, delish food, amazing dental team ❤️ Happy Holidays Everyone!

We are honoured to have our donated toothbrushes distributed by during her trip to Uganda. We loved seeing the smiles on the faces of everyone who received a brush! ❤️ We were told that typically villagers commonly use twigs 🌿 to clean their teeth as access to regular toothbrushes is not easy. We encourage you to consider supporting the great work by if you can 🙏🙏

The three photos are: 1) handing out brushes to girls at the CAP-AIDS Home of Hope. The young women stay at the home for 6-month stints, healing from traumatic events and learning marketable skills like tailoring and hairdressing. (SIA sponsors the sewing program)
2) Members of the rural village of Amukugungu holding up their toothbrushes in gratitude. They were gathering at the home of a midwife, one of the most respected elders in the village. (SIA funds small businesses in the area.)
3) Students at Wigua Primary School - this is an inclusive school, which welcomes students with physical and learning disabilities. (Spirit in Action has funded 6 students to attend this year, and to sit for their big year-end exams.)

Summer’s finally here! 😎😎 Time for breaking out those cold drinks and ice cream bars… or are your teeth keeping you from enjoying cool treats? SENSITIVE TEETH is one of the most common patient complaints. It could indicate unwanted exposure of internal tooth structure, thin tooth enamel or other issues. Over-the-counter toothpastes for sensitivity may sometimes help if the issue is benign, however it is important to determine what the root cause is - could it be that you have a leaking filling, cavity or gum recession? Make sure you identify these symptoms to your so that any undiagnosed issues can be addressed. Then go on and ENJOY that 🍦🍦🍺🍹!!

Our team stepped away from our dental chairs this afternoon to get hands on with our Annual BLS/CPR training.
