Leading a restorative movement session for my clients, I heard myself say "Give yourself permission to feel what’s best for your body at this moment, and do it.”
It wasn't the first time I used the word "permission".
But this time it felt different: restricted and restrictive. It felt downright limiting.
I will not use it anymore.
And I invite you to do the same from this moment on since you don't need permission (yours or anyone else's) to access something that is inherently yours.
Because here's the truth, my sweet: feeling great, and enjoying life in a vital, strong, and agile body is your BIRTHRIGHT.
Simply lean into it. Soak it in. Depend on it.
And from now on, KNOW that you are not required to obtain your permission before you deeply and completely take care of yourself: body, mind and soul.

During the Q&A this week, one client shared how much resistance she felt when she was getting ready to come to the mat and start her Zoom to join in.
She felt unsettled, and agitated and was worried about her body.
She felt resistance AND she showed up for her class anyway.
All she needed to do at the moment was simply show up.
Partway through the class, she felt her nervous system calm down, her body relaxes and her blood pressure lower.
She showed up for herself in the most powerful way: she listened to her inner voice and it told her to come to class.
My sweet friend, resistance is always there. Especially when you get closer to something you really, really want.
The more you show up for yourself, despite fear and resistance —> the more comfortable you become with the sensations and feelings of resistance —> the less they can stop you!
AND the more you can listen to your intuition.
My invitation to you, my sweet, sweet friend is to listen to that inner nudging feeling, to that nugget of inner wisdom that is calling you to show up for yourself. Despite any resistance, you might feel and despite fear.
Do not settle for anything less than full vitality and your full life-force expression.

“I am really discouraged," she wrote to me in an email.
After an absence of 2 years, a client just returned to my Anti-Aging Movement Program and two weeks in she sent me this message:
→ She already felt discouraged by her progress
→ She was really frustrated because she felt weak, sore and restricted
→ She couldn't sit on the floor and felt really tight
→ She was upset with the discomfort in her shoulders and neck
