I really dislike pushups! Like a lot! Why? Cause I suck at them! I want to be good at them but I don’t want to do them....well that won’t work. Here you can see my struggle through 10 strict pushups. Havent snatched in a while. Was taking a break from it as there is something going on with my hips but wanted to see how this felt. It felt pretty good. Lowered the weight and tried to focus on technique as much as possible. I really really enjoy Olympic lifting and I hope that I can keep practicing it :)

Practicing squatting as always! Practice practice practice! It’s not about the weight it’s about the depth and where I’m feeling it. I’m quad dominant and at times I find it difficult to feel it in my glutes. This is why I practice :) also can we acknowledge the cute pony tail I’m sporting! ☺️

It’s been a mentally draining week and honestly I did not want to get my ass to the gym. Contrary to what most people think, I am not always motivated to go workout. I love it but at times I would much rather sit on my ass and eat chips. Today I decided to go anyways because I know that I can still modify my workout if I’m not feeling it 100%. Motivation is overrated. Instead make it a life long lifestyle change and going to the gym will become second nature. This is my smooth-ish clean to jerk no pausing. @clcsteve how is my form??

Been listening to a lot of Mind Pump and was inspired by @mindpumpadam to start really focusing on squats and getting my ass to grass! I must admit that I obviously can’t lift as heavy but that’s not my goal right now. As @mindpumpsal says, I’m practicing this exercise to get better at it.
