Why did I become a body therapist?
It wasn’t family influence. It wasn’t years of curiosity or a gradual calling. It was one event - major spinal surgery - that changed everything and became my catalyst.
Going through that experience, feeling both the limits and resilience of my own body, made me realize the power of skilled, intuitive touch. It also showed me how incredible our bodies are at self-healing. Recovery wasn’t just about the physical; it was about reconnecting, rebuilding, and learning to trust my body again.
Paralysis was the risk whether I did the surgery or not. I spent months in a body cast, had to relearn how to walk, and put my college and dance life on hold. It was a long road back, but it left me with something I’ll never take for granted—my body, my agility, and the use of my legs. I knew I had to choose a career on my feet!
Now, I do this work to help others reconnect with their own bodies, find relief, and move through life with greater ease. Because I know what it’s like to fight for that freedom.
