We are on a journey to make our communities dementia-friendly!

The Hamilton Council on Aging is launching a Public Awareness Campaign featuring the voices of individuals living with dementia.

Our campaign will include portraits, audio recordings, and a short film to share the stories of people living with dementia in Hamilton and Haldimand. Our goal is to learn from these experiences to challenge stigma and create dementia-inclusive communities.

Great news for people over the age of 80 living in Hamilton. Phase two vaccines will be available for scheduling as of March 1 st. Details in article.

Hamilton residents aged 80 and older will be among the next group of locals to get the COVID-19 vaccine as roughly 5,000 to 6,000 doses are on their way. St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton’s West 5th Campus is also opening a new vaccination clinic.
