🏆 World’s first 3D-printed titanium wheelchair KIVRO by LichtMega makes its big debut at the 2026 China International Welfare Expo.
This groundbreaking wheelchair won the Red Dot: Best of the Best 2026 — the highest honor of Red Dot Design Award, and it is China’s first 3D-printed titanium wheelchair to earn this prestigious recognition.
Over the three-day expo, wheelchair users, rehab practitioners and industry creators visited our booth to test the full LichtMega ecosystem:
✅ KIVRO: ultra-light 3D printed titanium frame built with topological honeycomb structures
✅ ORBIT power-assist wheels: seamless switch between manual & electric modes
✅ Service Kit 3D scanner: captures buttock & back pressure data for personalised fitting
✅ CRUZ WHEEL 2.0 upgraded power assist hub motor
Wheelchair users who tested ORBIT shared genuine feedback:
“The wireless setup looks clean and simple to assemble. The dual drive wheels respond perfectly to the joystick. Gliding, turning and reversing are all very smooth.
Being able to toggle between manual and electric fits users with dual mobility needs. Manual pushing for short trips preserves upper-body strength, while electric assist saves energy for longer journeys.”
Majid Rashed, President of the Asian Paralympic Committee (APC), visited our booth after his meeting with leaders of China Disabled Persons’ Federation.
He is a UAE Paralympic veteran, former athlete, coach and administrator, re-elected as APC President in 2019 and 2023.
After hands-on testing, Majid Rashed praised KIVRO’s innovative triangular tube design, lightweight 3D printed chassis and customisation capability. He was impressed by ORBIT’s smooth mode switching and intuitive operation.
His delegation formally invited LichtMega to exhibit KIVRO and our full product lineup at the Dubai Rehabilitation Exhibition in October 2026, opening doors for Chinese assistive technology into the Middle East market.
The expo also marked a milestone moment: KIVRO became the first premium original Chinese wheelchair featured on CCTV-13 News Live Room. The report aired at 10:30 a.m. on September 5.
Chen Da, Product Director of LichtMega, shared our R&D vision on national television, explaining our breakthroughs in lightweight materials, integrated 3D printing, ergonomics and in-house smart power-assist systems.
For us, assistive devices are never cold hardware. They are the second pair of legs for wheelchair users.
Every design choice is built around real-life mobility needs: lighter frames reduce fatigue, intuitive controls lower barriers, and custom scanning creates a tailored fit for every individual.
We collected honest, on-site feedback directly from wheelchair users during the show. These real user voices guide every iteration of our products.
LichtMega will keep putting users first, refining mobility solutions and advocating inclusive accessibility. We aim to help more people break mobility limits and live with greater freedom and dignity.
