It was a privilege to connect with the President and Secretary-General of WFAS, the Head of WHO’s Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (TCIM) Unit, the President and Secretary of TCMNed, and a representative of the Chinese Embassy in the Netherlands.

Different organizations, different perspectives, but a shared commitment to dialogue, collaboration and the future of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture comes to Amsterdam

A special opportunity for acupuncturists in Europe to experience Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture (ZSA) through hands-on teaching and live clinical demonstrations.

From 25–27 September 2026, Dr Shy and Dr Chang will be teaching in Amsterdam, together with Scott Ling, combining clinical instruction with demonstrations involving real patients and complex cases.

There is also a special connection with The TCM Community: Scott Ling, Dr Shy and Dr Chang were all speakers at our A Midsummer TCM Journey conference last June, sharing their knowledge with our international community. We are therefore very happy to see them coming together again, this time in the Netherlands for an in-person educational event.

Participants will have the opportunity to observe how ZSA is applied in real clinical situations — from assessment and treatment strategy to needling and evaluation of the patient's response.

📣 CALL FOR DEMO PATIENTS IN AMSTERDAM

We are happy to share this call from our friends and previous TCM Community Midsummer Conference speakers, Scott Ling and his colleagues Dr. Shy & Dr. Chang from Taiwan, who will soon be teaching Zhu’s Scalp Acupuncture in Amsterdam.

For their upcoming seminar, 25–27 September 2026, they are currently looking for demo patients who may benefit from being treated during the clinical demonstrations.

They are particularly interested in people experiencing neurological conditions, pain and musculoskeletal problems, headaches or migraines, post-COVID symptoms, digestive complaints, and ENT or respiratory concerns.

Selected demo patients will receive a complimentary treatment during the seminar. Treatment is performed on the scalp and patients remain fully clothed.

🇨🇳 TCM STUDY TOUR CHINA 2026 | HANGZHOU & CHONGQING

An exciting opportunity for TCM practitioners and students to experience Chinese Medicine where its traditions continue to evolve in modern clinical practice.

This October, the European University of Chinese Medicine (EUCM) will take another group to China for its TCM Study Tour, combining clinical education, hands-on learning, professional exchange and cultural immersion.

📍 Hangzhou
Participants will undertake clinical internships and workshops at Zhejiang Provincial Tongde Hospital, a Grade III Class A hospital integrating Chinese and Western medicine.

📍 Chongqing
The journey continues at the Chongqing Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, offering another perspective on TCM within China’s contemporary hospital system.
