That is how long it takes to develop a new habit. In the beginning, you will need to be more mindful of your new habit that you are either trying to instill or kick to the curb. As you begin to incorporate it into your day, it will eventually simply become a part of what you do - a part of who you are.

As much as we would like perfection, that is not a reasonable expectation when starting something new.

The real key here is to be sure you do not miss more than two days in a row.

After 2 months, you are off to the races with your new, healthy habit!

You win! Every time you complete your new habit, there is a reward waiting for you.

What is your reward?

Is it the feeling of accomplishment? Maybe you reward yourself by putting $5 into a savings account every time you do your new habit and can save up for a bigger reward?

Whatever you decide to use as your reward, make sure it is meaningful to you and will help keep you on track to meet your goals.

When?

So you know what you want to do, and why you want to do it - now you need to decide WHEN you are going to do this new habit.

This is your cue. What is your reminder for you to perform this new habit?

Are you going to do yoga when you first wake up in the morning?

When you get home from work, is that your cue to take your dog for a walk?

When you are starting out any new habit, it is helpful to link it up to something you are doing on a regular basis already. This will help remind you on a regular basis of you new habit that you committed to.

What is your WHY?

We are told at every turn the benefits of living a healthy lifestyle, yet so many do not heed the advice.

Spend a bit of time with your thoughts and find YOUR reason for making changes.

Losing weight is a reason that I hear a lot. While that is a great reason, it does not answer the question "WHY?" You typically need to ask "why" 4 or 5 times after your initial reason for wanting to make a change, and then you will finally be at the crux of your reason for wanting to make changes.

This can be a very enlightening exercise to go through - I'd love to take you through the process in a complimentary discovery session to help you find out what your motivators are.

Do you know something needs to change but aren't sure where to start? The first step is to take a look at your habits.

Spend the day today doing an audit of your habits. As you go through your day on autopilot, try and be mindful of what you are doing subconsciously.

Are they healthy? Or are they leading you in a direction opposite of where you would like to go? Maybe there are some great habits, but there are a few lurking around that you would like to kick to the curb.

How you respond to a situation or a thought is all that matters.

The initial thought doesn't matter. It's how you react to the thoughts and feelings that follow.

Sometimes we feel like we have no control over our thoughts and feelings, but really everything starts with us because what we think about or say shapes how we feel.

So if you're feeling down or anxious, don't tell yourself negative things.

Instead, remind yourself of your strengths and try to find something good at the moment, even if it's just a smile from a stranger on the street.

Your thoughts will change almost immediately, and so will your mood!
It may seem hard at first, but it gets easier as time goes by.

Remember that your thoughts follow a pattern.

And it's your choice to recognize and break it.

These days, we're all looking for ways to be more productive.

But what does productivity really mean?

It's not just how many hours you put in at the office or how much work you get done.
Productivity is about making better use of your time and accomplishing more with less effort.

It's about feeling like you have a handle on things and that nothing gets away from you anymore because you keep everything under control and can juggle it without breaking a sweat.

And it also means having enough energy left over for the other important things in life--family, friends, travel, or whatever makes us happy.

And really, productivity lies in the management of time, energy, and distractions!

It is a common misconception that intuition and ego are in opposition to each other.
In fact, they are two sides of the same coin.

Intuition is what tells us when our egos have gotten out of control.

When we rely too much on our egos, we can become inflexible and close-minded.

Intuition is what helps us to open up to new possibilities and be more creative.

Think of it this way - The ego is hard-wired to make you identify with your body, profession, self, etc.

Oppositely, your intuition is your brain's ability to piece together seemingly unrelated things to help you double down on massive opportunities and improve that 'self' the ego is focusing on.

In your personal development journey, make sure to integrate ego and intuition so that they can work for each other!

Everyone procrastinates. But if you’ve been procrastinating more and more lately, it might be because your inner voice is telling you to avoid the task at hand.

Perhaps you even let it stop you from taking action at all.

Avoidance is the most common reason why we procrastinate.

Our avoidance is usually driven by the discomfort that comes with actually doing the thing we're avoiding.

This is how our inner voice convinces us to postpone it!

We all know that we should work on our emotional stability and not just let emotions rule us.

But what about those people who are emotionally sensitive? The term "emotionally sensitive" is used to describe a person who has an overactive emotional response to stimuli, such as someone who's rather melancholic or choleric.

On the other hand, we have emotionally stable people who don't let their emotions rule them.

They have a strong sense of self-awareness and know how to deal with difficult situations healthily.

As a result, they're better equipped to handle stress and stay calm during chaotic moments.

These people are often referred to as "Phlegmatic" or "Sanguine."

When you have a persuasive personality, people are naturally drawn to you.
You make them feel comfortable, and they trust your opinion.

This is because you have a way of making them feel like they are the most important person in the world.

You also have a way of communicating your ideas in a clear and concise manner.
This allows people to understand your message, which makes them more likely to be persuaded by it.

Lastly, you have a way of putting your emotions into words, allowing people to connect with you deeper.

And this is what it takes to develop such a personality!

If we had to choose one single tool to help people manage weight, it would surely be quality protein from food!

Why? Well, because excessive weight gain in the first place, is a result of consuming more food than the body actually needs.

And quite frankly, this would not happen if the body is satiated and full.

Guess what protein does? Yeah! It brings a prominent feeling of satiation, thus regulating appetite, reducing cravings and total energy intake.

On top of that, protein makes the body burn more calories due to the high amounts of energy needed for its digestion.

So, what is there to lose, really? Grab some steak & eggs!
