Beyond what our hands can shape
and our minds can imagine,
divine grace unfolds
in the space we open within.

Today, on 10 October, the New Moon meets Hasta Nakshatra in the grounded realm of Virgo — where seeds of intention take root, nourished by our effort and what lies beyond our hands.

Hasta is one of Vedic Astrology’s 27 Nakshatras, or lunar mansions. Each Nakshatra carries its own mythology and symbolism, offering a fascinating window into our inner world.

Hasta means “the hand”: the hands that create, heal, nourish, care and shape our lives. That hold on — and can learn to let go.

Ruled by the Moon, its deity is Savitar, a form of Surya, the Sun. Vedic hymns describe him as golden-handed, bringing guidance, protection and blessings.

Hasta carries the determination to give intentions form. Yet pursuing material gains and perfecting every detail, we can believe everything depends on us — leaving little room for spiritual life or divine support.

Savitar is invoked in the Gayatri Mantra, a prayer asking divine light to illuminate our understanding and guide our thoughts — towards our innermost spiritual light.

Hasta’s deeper aim is Moksha: LIBERATION. Perhaps its invitation is to keep creating while loosening our attachment to what we achieve, possess or control.

This New Moon invites us to connect with the infinite light within — perhaps through meditation, journaling or the Gayatri Mantra. 🕯️

What am I building — and does it nourish my inner life?
Where has determination become control?
What might become clearer if I opened to divine guidance?

This New Moon also closes Pitṛ Pakṣa, the fortnight honouring our ancestors — a moment to remember those before us and the gifts we carry forward.

Navarātri begins on 11 October: nine nights honouring Shakti, the Divine Feminine. Through prayer, mantra and ritual, her nurturing, protective and transformative power is celebrated.

A daily practice can help us notice what needs nurturing, what needs protecting — and what is ready to change.

Curious about your Moon Nakshatra?
If you know your birth time, send me a message — I’d love to help a few of you look yours up. 💌

Both of these brunches could be delicious, nourishing choices for many people. But which one would truly nourish you today?

Ayurveda reminds us that nourishment is personal. What works for us can change with our dosha (constitution), our digestion, the season and even the climate we live in.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach — and it doesn’t need to be complicated.

Even the things we tend to dismiss after eating — bloating, heaviness, sleepiness or discomfort — can be valuable signals rather than something to simply get used to.

Ayurveda is about learning to understand these simple signals and rhythms, so that over time, choosing what supports you becomes more intuitive.

Ayurveda means “the knowledge or science of life.” But perhaps what I love most is how Dr. Vasant Lad describes it: an art of daily living.

And this is exactly the intention behind my upcoming Ayurveda program: to help you bring this ancient knowledge into your everyday life, step by step and at your own pace.

You’ll have recipes for meals, guidance on eating and living with the seasons, daily routines, sleep and wind-down practices, relaxation and more — practical tools you can gradually make your own.

Practiced for thousands of years, Ayurveda is now finding an increasingly recognised place in Western health and wellbeing approach as well.

Because Ayurveda isn’t a diet or a short-term wellness plan. It’s a holistic guidance for life & longevity — and an investment in knowing how to care for yourself as your needs change over time.

💌 The waiting list is open. DM me “AYURVEDA” to join.

P.S. Kara, meanwhile, is quite sure both would nourish her perfectly well. 🤤 🐾

Isn’t it fascinating that our birth chart can reveal something about the evolution of our soul?

In Vedic Astrology, one planet offers a particularly revealing clue: the Ātmakāraka.

Ātma means the Self or soul; kāraka means significator. The Ātmakāraka is the planet holding the highest degree within its sign in your chart.

Often described as the most experienced or “oldest” planet in the chart, the Ātmakāraka carries a beautiful paradox: it represents something deeply familiar to us, yet also an area that continues to ask for growth.

It can be both a gift and a test.

Its qualities may already appear as natural capacities or instincts, while life repeatedly brings us back to its themes through desires, relationships, choices and challenges.

Almost as if the planet were saying:

“You already carry something of me. Now come to know me fully.”

Each planet brings a different terrain:

Sun: Where are you being called to stand in your own light?

Moon: What helps you feel truly safe within yourself?

Mars: How are you learning to use your strength consciously?

Mercury: How can your curiosity become clearer communication?

Jupiter: What is guiding your search for truth?

Venus: What are love and desire teaching you about your values?

Saturn: What are patience and time asking you to mature into?

But the planet itself is only the beginning. Its sign, house and so on shape how its story unfolds. On top of that its placement in the Navamsha chart adds another layer to understanding the soul's evolutionary path.

While first the Rising and then Moon signs may be easier to recognise when we first meet someone, the Ātmakāraka often reveals itself gradually — through their patterns, strengths, desires and recurring life themes.

Do you know your Ātmakāraka?

If not, I’ll look up the Ātmakāraka for a few of you. Send me a DM if it resonates with your birth date, exact time and place of birth. ❤️‍🔥

Meet me for cacao? 🤎

I love coffee. I really do. But over the years, raw ceremonial cacao has become one of my morning essentials.

It’s a ritual I genuinely look forward to — giving me a sense of mental clarity and presence, while feeling deeply satisfying and nourishing at the same time.

Cacao is naturally much lower in caffeine than coffee. Its predominant stimulant is theobromine, which has a milder effect on the nervous system — offering a more subtle mental lift. It’s also rich in flavanols, studied for their role in blood flow, cognition and mood.

In my Ayurveda practice, I often recommend raw cacao to clients who love the pleasure and ceremony of their morning coffee, but find that coffee agitates the mind, feels overly stimulating or causes palpitations. You can keep the ritual — just with a different cup. 🤎

My cacao

• Raw ceremonial cacao
• 4/5 water + 1/5 milk of choice
• A pinch of cardamom
• A little coconut oil (or ghee for more Vata)
• Cinnamon + a rosebud 🌹

Gently heat the water and milk without boiling. Add the cacao, cardamom and coconut oil, then blend with a milk frother until creamy and foamy. Finish with cinnamon and a rosebud.

And a little Ayurveda in the cup: cardamom is traditionally valued for supporting digestion and balancing the acidic and stimulating qualities of coffee and cacao — one reason it has long had a place in traditional coffee cultures, including Turkish coffee.

Cacao hasn’t replaced my coffee. It has earned a place of its own.

P.S. If you’re in Europe and want to know the Berlin-based cacao brand I use, send me a DM. 🤎

SOMETHING IS STIRRING BENEATH THE SURFACE.

On 26 September, the Full Moon illuminates Uttara Bhadrapada in the deep waters of Pisces — one of the 27 Nakshatras, or lunar mansions, of Vedic Astrology.

The 12 zodiac signs are only one layer of the sky. Jyotish also maps it through 27 Nakshatras, revealing a much finer and more nuanced layer within the zodiac. Because “What’s your sign?” barely scratches the surface. 😉 Maybe the next question should be: “What’s your Moon Nakshatra?” 🌙

Each Nakshatra carries its own mythology, symbolism and energy, offering a fascinating window into our inner world, emotional patterns and the way we experience life. I find it endlessly fascinating.

Uttara Bhadrapada belongs to the final group of nine Nakshatras, associated with Sattva — the last stage in a progression moving from action and worldly experience towards something increasingly inward, subtle and spiritual.

Uttara Bhadrapada is ruled by Saturn and its deity is Ahir Budhnya — the Serpent of the Deep.

The serpent travels into the deepest waters, into what cannot be seen from the surface. Yet it must eventually rise again to breathe.

Perhaps that is part of the invitation of this Full Moon: to go beneath the obvious, notice what has been quietly moving within us — and know when it is time to come back to the surface.

Like a serpent shedding its skin, Uttara Bhadrapada also carries the symbolism of transformation, release and renewal.

It is associated with deep spiritual sensitivity — intuition, dreams, empathy and the potential to awaken Kundalini energy. There is movement hidden inside the stillness.

This one feels especially personal to me — Uttara Bhadrapada holds an interesting placement in my own chart.

For this Full Moon, take a little time to turn inward — through Kundalini mantras, meditation, silence or journaling. 🕯️

What is moving beneath the surface?
What am I ready to shed?
What wants to rise?

And this is only a tiny glimpse into the rich symbolism of Uttara Bhadrapada. ✨

Equinox notes 🍂

Lately, I’ve been thinking less about having it all figured out, and more about staying open to what is unfolding.

To what remains.
What transforms.
What feels alive.

Maybe there is something beautiful about not knowing exactly how — and continuing anyway.

A few notes for the equinox — when light and dark meet as equals, just before the days grow shorter and life begins to draw inward. 🤎

May we keep inspiring one another along the way.
Happy Equinox. 🍂

Ekinoks notları...

Son zamanlarda her şeyi çözmüş halletmiş bir noktaya ulaşmış olmaktansa, yavaş yavaş beliren her neyse onu kabul etmeye, ona açık olmaya hazır hale geliyorum.

Bende kalanlara. Dönüşenlere. Hala canlı hissettirenlere.

Eski hallerimizin tamamını geride bırakmadan da değişebiliriz belki. Bize kattıklarını yanımıza alıp, artık bize ait olmayanın dönüşmesine izin vererek. Her sorunun cevabını bugün bulmadan, her duyguyu hemen çözüme ulaştırmadan.

Işıkla karanlığın eşitlendiği, günlerin kısalmaya ve hayatın yavaşça içe dönmeye başladığı ekinokstan birkaç not birbirimize ilham olabilmek dileğiyle... 🤎

When the thread breaks, does the intention break with it?
A story of a Ta***ic Mala.

416 beads are woven into eight interconnected patterns — a sacred geometry connected with Patanjali’s Eight Limbs of Yoga and the meditative energy technology of White Ta**ra.

You meditate with it. Practise with it. Travel with it. It becomes a silent companion to your intentions, prayers and transformations.

And after intense practices such as White Ta**ra, sometimes the thread breaks.

It has happened to me twice — once after India, and once after White Ta**ra three years ago.

I chose not to restring either mala. They still live on my altar.

I simply knew that the intentions I had woven into them had done their work. Those chapters were complete, and I created a new Ta***ic Mala for the spiritual journey I was stepping into.

A new intention. A new chapter.

But not every broken mala tells the same story.

Last summer, at the European Kundalini Yoga Festival in France, Kathrin chose one of my Kyanite, Moonstone & Tiger’s Eye Ta***ic Malas.

The next day, she wore it into White Ta**ra.

Almost a year of practice, life and transformation later, it found its way back to me.

The thread had broken.

Kathrin knew she wanted to continue her journey with it — so the stones returned to my hands to be woven again.

I cleansed them, placed them onto my mala board, put on my mantras and began.

416 stones. Eight patterns. One bead at a time.

And somewhere between the mantra, the stones and the repetition, creating became meditation.

This is what I love about creating bespoke Ta***ic Malas. I create them for another soul, yet the process somehow nourishes my own.

There is one more beautiful mystery: within the Ta***ic Mala tradition, where the thread breaks within its eight patterns is believed to carry a message of its own.

But that is a story for another day. 😉

Sometimes an intention has completed its journey.
Sometimes it is asking to be woven again.

Mine were ready to rest.
Kathrin’s was ready to return. 🤍

And if you feel called to have a Ta***ic Mala created for your own journey, you can always find me here. ✨

(ENG) 💌
I love this time just after a New Moon, as the Moon begins to grow again — a beautiful time to sense what wants to begin, what we want to give our energy to, and what we are ready to grow.

And yesterday, as Gurudass’ Gobinday Mukanday lit up my day, I remembered another time when this shabad truly lit the way for me.

I had been feeling exhausted and low in energy, while intuitively sensing that it was time for a new meditation practice with the New Moon. Rather than searching with my mind, I held the intention and waited to see what would come.

Then Gurudass’ version of Gobinday Mukanday caught my attention completely. I just knew I wanted to sit with it.

So I did. For 31 min. (11 min. is also beautiful)

At some point, tears quietly rolled down my face as I felt a deep sense of connection, of being one with the Creator.

Giving Guru Gaitri mantra space in my days from that intuitive yes had a beautiful transformative effect on that period of my life. It reminded me how intuition can connect us to the Divine and our truth — Sat Nam.✨

I love knowing the meaning and origin behind a mantra/shabad, but I don’t always need to understand everything before experiencing it. Sometimes we can listen first and give intuition space before the mind steps in.

Commitment is interesting too. Some of us struggle to commit even to the simplest daily practice, while others feel that unless we choose something challenging — arms up, pushing through, long — it somehow doesn’t count.

The mind can be behind both — resisting the practice or turning it into something we have to prove.

For me, noticing this and building an honest relationship with our choices is part of bhakti too.

When the mind keeps taking us around the same familiar circles, could intuition open a way we simply cannot think our way into?

Perhaps part of uncovering our true potential is allowing that connection — listening to the subtle voice of the heart, leaving room for magic, claiming a playground where our soul feels connected to the Divine.

I meditate with Gurudass’ version of Gobinday Mukanday. DM me if you’d like the link.

Listen. Chant. Meditate. Be open to what happens. 🤍
