It matters where your medicine comes from. 🐸🌿
A few days ago, we had the honour of welcoming Daniel Manquid Jiménez Huanán in our home, the currently chosen leader of the Matsés community of Ibama in the Peruvian Amazon, and the person that has been supplying our Kambo, traditionally knows as Acate, for a long time.
One thing Daniel always says which makes us smile is, “Las Ranas Felices - The Happy Frogs.” 🙏🏼
Behind these simple words lies something meaningful: generations if traditional knowledge about the frogs, their habitats, their secretions and how to approach them with care. A relationship between people and nature that should be build on respect, never exploitation.
As Kambo and other Ancestral Medicines become increasingly popular, knowing what you receive, where it comes from, how it was sourced and who stands behind it becomes more important than ever.
We don’t simply buy medicine. We want to know its source. Build relationships. Understand its preparation. Care about its purity, ethical sourcing and the way it reaches us.
And this goes far beyond Kambo…
Throughout the years, we have put enormous care into the medicines we work with at From Gaia For You, studying them extensively ourselves and being very selective about what eventually reaches the people who place their trust in us. ✨
Because the quality of a healing space isn’t created only during ceremony. It is built through all the details behind it that most people will never see.
Kambo has been such a meaningful part of our personal journeys, and we feel deeply grateful that this medicine crossed our path. For what it has brought into our lives, for everything we continue to learn from it, and for many beautiful, transformative experiences we have had the privilege of witnessing while facilitating other with care, love and a deep respect.
