We must learn to embody and live love in our daily lives. This is the only way our spiritual practice makes sense—if we can bring it into how we interact in the world, with others, with nature, with ourselves. If our spiritual practice doesn't help us cultivate kindness, love, self-worth, and compassion in this world, what's the point?

My dear friend Sylvia Boorstein said it like this: “The shortest way to say what happened to me in 49 years of spiritual practice is: I became kind....And the big surprise for me after all this time is that I’m also happier.” 🧡

It was beyond words to sing with such beautiful people today and share such positive energy and love with the world. There were definitely more voices in the room than just those of us singing! 😉🎵💖

You all shone so brightly, completely in the moment, sharing the joy and love of making this music together and with our lovely audience. So much freedom, heart and expression. What more is there? ❤️

Thank you to all who sang with us today, all who joined us in the audience and to Bex at Café Corbeau for welcoming us today for our lunchtime concert. ❤️🙏🎵



C’était indescriptible de chanter avec de si belles personnes aujourd’hui et de partager autant d’énergie positive et d’amour avec le monde entier. Il y avait vraiment plus de voix dans la salle que celles de celles et ceux qui chantaient! 😉🎵💖

Vous avez toutes et tous rayonné, pleinement dans l’instant, en partageant la joie de faire de la musique ensemble et de la partager avec notre merveilleux public. Tant de liberté, de cœur et d’émotion ! Que demander de plus ? ❤️

🍃 In the HeartSong kitchen today - seitan sausages ready to go in the steamer, and after they’re cooked.

One of our favourite plant based proteins that has been around since the 6th century! Invented by Buddhist monks in china and now a popular meat substitute for vegetarians and vegans and those just wanting alternative protein options. It’s made with wheat gluten - and can be made by repeatedly washing flour to leave behind just the gluten - or you can buy it ready washed as a powder ready to mix with stock and whatever flavours you like.

These veggie sausages are flavoured with smoked paprika, herbes de Provence, garlic, chilli, soy and a dash of veggie Worcestershire sauce. Delicious as part of a cooked breakfast, sausage sarnie or stirred into stews and pasta sauces.
