Connect4Life UK Connect4Life (C4L) C4L provides contemporary resources for churches and individuals to reach out to unconnected and disconnected friends.

The inspirational materials for discipleship and outreach are all based around the connection metaphor – ‘connection brings life’. Using 21st century language about the connection that brings identity, value and purpose, these resources dovetail into short feeder events for other courses like Alpha, Christianity Explored and Freedom in Christ. You can use selected elements or run it as a church programme for discipleship and outreach.

We often expect grief to fade neatly with the calendar, yet the passing of time often does the exact opposite – highlighting just how long it has been since we last saw the person we lost.

When the distance between today and your cherished memories feels overwhelming, know that your grief is simply a reflection of your enduring love.

Read on for a tender perspective on processing long-term loss, finding comfort when time feels heavy, and holding onto the promise of eternal restoration: https://connect4life.org.uk/c4l-boosters/finding-hope-in-the-ache-of-grief/

Most people assume that being alive simply means having breath in their lungs and a pulse in their chest. But Scripture insists there is another kind of life — a deeper, richer, fuller life — the life Jesus came to give.

“I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” — John 10:10

This is double life in the best sense: physically alive and spiritually alive to God.

Life can get heavy sometimes, and it’s perfectly normal to have days when you don’t feel yourself, you feel low or struggle with your emotions; it’s all part and parcel, not only of growing up and getting older, but of simply being human. All of us, no matter what age, wake up sometimes in a bad mood, let the day get the better of us, or allow the weight of daily life to get on top of us.

Even more so, however, when we’re young, and we have to navigate school, maybe a job, friendships, exams, relationship drama, and simply trying to fit in whilst also meeting our loved ones expectations for us. It can sometimes feel like a lot to process, and having low days is completely normal.

However, it’s important to remember that you’re not alone, and scripture offers us a lot of comfort and perspective for those days. Here is a selection of bible verses for when you’re feeling low.

Autumn in the UK brings crisp air, falling leaves, and the nostalgic playground tradition of collecting and playing conkers. But while dangling a conker from a string is a simple childhood game, waiting for the next blow to hit can feel uncomfortably close to the daily anxieties so many of us carry.

In this relatable reflection, Angie explores how life’s heavy pressures, and the fear of “hanging by a thread”, can leave us overwhelmed.

Discover a gentle reminder that we don’t have to face the hits alone, and learn how casting our anxieties onto a caring Father equips us with strength, peace, and resilience for whatever season we’re in.

“Thank you for sharing so honestly about your struggle with “defining God.”

Many people across history have felt exactly what you’re feeling - that if only we could pin down who God is, we might finally understand Him, relate to Him, and feel secure. There’s nothing wrong with wanting clarity. But sometimes the search for a definition becomes a way of trying to make God fit into a shape we can manage or control.”

If you’re struggling with defining God, this pastoral letter to Gail, seeking advice on defining God is for you: https://connect4life.org.uk/c4l-boosters/defining-god-who-is-he-and-how-do-i-relate-to-him/

Moral dilemmas and ethics have always been around and always will be whilst the earth spins – in a certain situation, what is the right thing to do, think or say?

Journalists, the media, writers of books and films know that these make good stories which sell by holding a mirror up to entertain and enthral us.

On the way through life, no doubt you’ve had some dilemmas to consider and you know there will be more to come. How can we know what is wise?

The young should be able to look to their elders for maturity and wisdom as to the right way to take when facing a moral crossroads.

We are often confronted with professionals and experts but not often with wisdom. What sometimes passes as worldly wisdom often falls short of God’s wisdom as revealed in the Bible. Where are you drawing your wisdom from for your dilemmas?

Some and some – here are some carefully selected for you to sift through: https://connect4life.org.uk/c4l-boosters/wisdom-on-the-way/

When John collapsed in 2001, no one knew if he would ever open his eyes again.

Diagnosed with a severe Arteriovenous Malformation (AVM), he spent weeks in a coma while doctors prepared his family for the worst. Medical science offered little hope, but John’s wife and a dedicated network of praying churches held fast to faith.
