We’re delighted to welcome you back! Join us tonight from 6–9pm to discover spectacular light installations, immersive artworks and dazzling projections across Blackpool.

Following the recent bad weather, a small number of outdoor installations may be temporarily unavailable.

Good news for those using the Tram network, all services from Blackpool Transport Services Ltd have now resumed.

Download the Blackpool Transport app (IOS & Android) to stay up to date with all the latest schedules, they are also advising there maybe some delays for the first couple of hours.

Tram Service Now in Operation

The tram infrastructure has now been checked over by our engineering team and we have been given the okay to commence running service.

The first tram to run through to Fleetwood Ferry will be the 08:00 service from Starr Gate. There will be delays for the first couple of hours whist trams return to timetable, please bear with us.

Little bit of a calmer night here in South Shore tonight snd we are being treated to some spectacular clouds drifting across, plus the moon looks gorgeous tonight.

The spectacular St Annes International Kite Festival is BACK in 2027, and the best bit? It’s STILL ABSOLUTELY FREE! 🙌😍

Even better, we’ve already got the dates, so there’s no excuse not to get them saved!

🪁 Friday 10th September: 12 noon – 10pm, including the spectacular illuminated night fly (weather permitting!) ✨

🪁 Saturday 11th September: 11am – 5pm

🪁 Sunday 12th September: 11am – 4pm

Get ready for the skies above St Annes to burst into life with incredible kites, breathtaking colours and some seriously talented kite flyers from around the world! 🌈🪁

With SIX flying arenas, beachside funfair rides, refreshments and entertainment, it’s set to be another fantastic weekend on the Fylde Coast! 🎡🌊

We absolutely LOVE seeing our beautiful coastline come alive with events like this, and we can’t wait to see what the kite flyers have in store for us in 2027!

There is a cordon in place on then prom at the junction of Chapel Street and the prom across from Central Pier.

The front of Tower Gifts is coming loose with the intense winds, fire crews are on scence keeping an eye on how it develops.

Please note, the decision has been made to cancel this evenings Lightpool Festival, Saturday 24 October, due to high winds forecast from Storm Boelo. This also includes the Blackpool Tower Projection shows.

Event safety must always come first. We apologise for any disappointment and appreciate your understanding.
