Online bookings for medical consultations, fertility ultrasound scans and HyCoSy tube tests are now live on our website.

If you want to better understand your fertility, a fertility ultrasound scan can evaluate your ovarian reserve and check for any underlying conditions that might affect your chances of conceiving.

Similarly, the HyCoSy tube test assesses whether the fallopian tubes are open, ensuring a smooth pathway for natural conception to occur.

At Genus Medical Fertility, our team is with you through every step of your journey, and will be on hand to help navigate the next steps together.

Fertility care isn't always about trying for a baby right now. For many people, understanding their reproductive health is something they start thinking about long before they are ready to start or grow a family.

It might be because of a medical condition, upcoming treatment, changes to their health, or simply wanting to better understand their fertility and the options available for the future.

Fertility care can be about asking questions, gathering information and making informed decisions at a time that feels right for you.

At Genus Medical Fertility, we believe people should have access to the information and support they need to better understand their reproductive health, whatever their plans for the future may look like.

Miscarriage can be devastating. And unfortunately, it is more common than many people realise.

Experiencing a miscarriage can leave people with difficult questions about why it happened and whether anything can be done to reduce the risk of it happening again.

There can be a number of factors associated with recurrent miscarriage, which is why understanding an individual’s medical history and circumstances is an important part of investigating what may be contributing.

At Genus Medical Fertility, we offer investigations to help explore potential causes of recurrent miscarriage and support patients in understanding their reproductive health and options for the future.

Our team is here to help. Visit our website to find out more.

Baby loss can happen in different ways, and every experience is different.

For anyone who has experienced a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, molar pregnancy, stillbirth or other form of baby loss, the emotional impact can be devastating. There is no right way to feel or a set amount of time to grieve.

Baby Loss Awareness Week is an opportunity to acknowledge those experiences, open up conversations and remind people that they don’t have to go through them alone.

At Genus Medical Fertility, we recognise how difficult baby loss can be and are here to provide compassionate, personalised support for those who may have questions about their reproductive health or what to do next.

Wherever you are in your journey, our team is here to listen and help you understand your options.

The UK Government has announced new rights to up to two weeks of unpaid leave for women and their partners who experience pregnancy loss before 24 weeks, with the changes expected to come into effect in April 2027.

Pregnancy loss can have a significant emotional and physical impact, and everyone's experience is different. Having the time and space to process a loss, away from the pressures of everyday life, is an important part of emotional recovery.

At Genus Medical Fertility, we recognise that every fertility journey is different and that support, understanding and individualised care matter at every stage.

What does research-led practice mean at Genus?

Fertility care is constantly evolving, which is why staying up to date with the latest research and developments is an important part of how we work.

At Genus Medical Fertility, our approach is grounded in clinical evidence, with recommendations based on what is appropriate for each individual patient rather than simply following a routine pathway.

From advanced reproductive technologies to the way we approach investigations and treatment, we’re committed to using the best available evidence to inform the care we provide.

Fertility treatment is often something you never expected to need, and it can frequently feel overwhelming.

In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) is one of the most effective fertility treatments available today. IVF involves fertilising an egg with the s***m outside the body, within a carefully controlled laboratory environment, before transferring an embryo into the uterus.

Combining advanced reproductive science with highly personalised care, our team is here to help you navigate treatment with clarity and confidence and support you through every stage of your journey.

Starting a fertility journey can come with a lot of questions, and you don’t need to know all the answers before you come to Genus.

Whether you’re wondering about an investigation, treatment option, fertility preservation or simply where to start, having the opportunity to ask questions and understand your options is an important part of making informed decisions about your care.

At Genus Medical Fertility, we want patients to feel comfortable asking questions, having open conversations and taking the time they need to understand what’s right for them.

For some people with Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome (PMOS), irregular cycles can mean ovulation doesn’t happen regularly, which may make it more difficult to conceive. Insulin resistance and changes in hormone levels can also affect reproductive health, while higher testosterone levels may contribute to symptoms such as acne and excessive hair growth.

As Dr Karolina Skorupskaite Carlyle explains, managing PMOS involves looking at the individual and understanding what may be affecting their fertility. This can include pre-pregnancy counselling, reviewing supplements and, where irregular ovulation is a factor, considering ovulation induction with careful monitoring.

At Genus Medical Fertility, we provide personalised assessment and support to help patients understand their options and the next steps that may be right for them.
