Sharing a bit about me and the change in direction I took with my career.

Some might think it’s crazy to change from an employed, secure job to self employment, but for me I wanted to chase the route I felt passionate about.

It’s about bridging the gap between the 2 worlds.

Supporting others in a way that feels genuine and meaningful.

Gaining job satisfaction by focusing on the elements I truly believe in.

Sharing knowledge and improving understanding to have a big impact on peoples’ lives.

Being part of a wider team of professionals with the same goals and vision, who want to bring a positive change to the healthcare system.

This is only the beginning and I’m so excited for what’s ahead.

I promise to show up more so we can build a positive, little community here.

Bye for now, Jen 💫

You will never regret getting up early to catch the sunrise 🌅

As we enter the ‘ber months and the dark nights are creeping upon us, I’m trying to make the most of the daylight and the mild mornings.

I have to admit I’m not sad about saying bye to summer.

I love this time of year.

The changing colours of the season.

Cosy jumpers and nights by the fire.

Hot drinks and pumpkin spice candles.

Crisp autumn mornings and hot drinks.

Embracing hibernation mode with more time to read and be creative.

What’s your favourite thing about this time of year? 🍂🍁🎃

I’ve had the pleasure of working with some really fantastic clients recently.

I really do love every moment of my job, so it is always wonderful to receive positive feedback.

Join us on the 3rd and 4th of October lifeandsoleforres for the STRONG-HER retreat.

I will be delivering a women’s health focused nutrition workshop where you will leave with your own personalised nutrition toolkit to help nourish your potential in life and fitness.

I won’t only look at macro nutrients (protein, fats and carbohydrates) but also the essential micronutrients (vitamins and minerals) that are required to support overall health and performance.

I’ll cover nutritional needs across your menstrual cycle and also during perimenopause and menopause.

The supplement market can be an overwhelming place so we will discuss the current evidence behind some of the popular supplements advertised to support women’s health.

She-Stands-Strong Group Training and MONTY | Movement & Restoration have created the most amazing 2 day retreat and there are still some spaces available.

For more information and to book on please visit their pages and I look forward to seeing you all there!

Support for those on weight loss medications: Part 1.

As some of you may know as well as being a nutritional therapist, I am also a pharmacist and have been for the last 20 years.

I have seen a lot of change over this period of time, one of which is the considerable rise in the rate of prescribing of weight loss medications.

Whilst I know they can be an effective tool for some people, I also believe that it is important that they are part of a 360 approach.

It should not be a case of just receiving a prescription. You also need support in nutrition and lifestyle to minimise side effects, maintain overall health and set up a plan for treatment discontinuation.

This support should include:

🍎 Nutritional planning to avoid insufficiencies in key nutrients which can lead to side effects and potential longer term implications

🏃🏼‍♂️‍➡️ Advice on exercise and movement to support maintaining muscle and cardiovascular fitness

🧠 Mindset strategies covering emotional eating

👩‍⚕️ Knowledge on how the medication works and the physiological changes which may affect weight regain on stopping

If you are currently prescribed or considering stopping an injection for weight loss and would like support please get in touch via the link above or email [email protected]
