Every single service I offer is based on self care and I was asked recently why I thought that self care was so important ⬇️ this is why.

You are a person in your own right, not just the roles you fulfil or the people you care for.

You deserve the same love, care, time and attention that you give so freely to everyone else.

Self care is about recognising that your needs matter, that your well-being is worth investing in and that you do not have to earn the right to look after yourself.

It’s learning to value yourself enough to make yourself a priority, without guilt or apology.

And it’s taking small, intentional steps every day to nurture your relationship with yourself, support your well-being and build the tools you need to navigate life’s ups and downs.

Because you matter, too. Not just because of what you do for other people, but because you are you.

Reiki is magical and everyone experiences it in different ways

The things I hear most from my clients at the end of the session are:

I feel so much lighter

I never normally relax so quickly

I feel so calm

That was so peaceful

Wow! That was amazing

I felt something go and now I feel so much better

Truthfully it’s so difficult to articulate what reiki does and how it feels so the best way to find out is to come and experience it for yourself

Why wait until you reach burn out to take a pause?

Prevention is always better than the cure

Take a pause today just for 5 minutes - I promise you the world will continue to turn

Lie on the grass
Drink the coffee
Count your breath
Dance to the music

Whatever it is that brings you joy, take a pause and do it

And then after your pause message me to tell me how it felt to take it BEFORE you needed it

Here’s the mistake I was making.

I was trying to do ALL the things.

Meditate. Journal. Sound baths. Exercise. Reiki. Massages. Face packs. Bubble baths…

Basically, if it counted as self care, I was doing it.

And guess what?

I was exhausted . 😩

By trying to do everything, I was actually creating more pressure for myself and undoing some of the good stuff I was trying to achieve.

Then I discovered that five minutes a day doing ONE thing just for me could make a surprisingly big difference.

I didn’t need to do everything.

I just needed to find what worked for me and make it something I could actually keep doing.

Now my self care is much more balanced and sustainable.

Some days it’s sitting quietly with a glass of pop and reading a chapter of my book.

Other days it’s an hour of meditation, Reiki or a sound bath.

Both can bring me peace and calm, but most importantly, they bring me joy.

And that’s why I don’t believe self care needs to look the same for everyone.

Sometimes you’ve got 30 minutes.

Sometimes you’ve got an hour.

Sometimes you need a proper 1-2-1 deep dive.

And sometimes you’ve got five minutes and that’s absolutely fine.

That’s why I offer different ways to practise self care, from short Zoom groups and meditation and sound sessions to personalised 1-2-1 support.

Because self care shouldn’t be another thing you’re failing to fit into your already busy life.

Some self care is better than no self care. ❤️

Between the feeds, nappy changes, sleepless nights and endless to-do lists, finding time for yourself can feel like an impossible task.

My Pause and Reset meditation and sound group is a chance to take a little time out, relax, recharge and give yourself some much needed breathing space.
