More things!!

We have Kat from K L Equine therapy here at Heywood on the 8th November for a Hofmag demo.

'The Hofmag uses Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) technology to deliver electromagnetic pulses to the body. These interact with the body’s cells and are used to support circulation, improve muscle function, reduce inflammation and relaxation, etc.

On a cellular level, the body’s cells rely on adenosine triphosphate, as their main source of energy. PEMF affects cellular processes, including those involved in energy metabolism and circulation, which help support the body’s natural recovery processes.

No obligation to book treatments afterwards. It’s simply a chance to learn about the Hofmag, experience it first hand and see whether it might be something useful for your horse.'

We are opening this up for anyone external also who would like to see it in action and know more! So come along at 10am!

We are so looking forward to next weekend and meeting lots of new faces at the West Wilts RoR southern regional dressage championships.

We will be offering complimentary treatments to all competitors.

Hofmag can be used both before and after competition, to support muscular relaxation and relaxation. Whether your horse is preparing for their test or winding down afterwards, it’s a great opportunity to experience Hofmag.

Good luck everyone. 💜

On a busy yard, horses are regularly managing the physical demands of training, competition, travel and day-to-day work. Supporting muscular function and recovery is an important consideration in their overall management.

Hofmag uses Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) technology, delivering electromagnetic pulses to the body.

⚡ How could Hofmag fit into your yard’s management programme?

• Competition yards: An additional treatment modality to consider as part of a horse’s wider management and recovery routine.

• Training yards: Supporting relaxation and muscular function alongside appropriate training, conditioning and recovery strategies.

• Performance horses: Incorporating PEMF into ongoing management, rather than only considering treatment when an issue arises.

• Rehabilitation facilities: Complementing an appropriate rehabilitation programme alongside veterinary guidance and other relevant therapies.

• Larger livery yards: Giving multiple owners convenient access to treatments during one scheduled visit.

I offer mobile Hofmag treatments and would love to discuss how the equipment could fit into your existing setup. This could include a yard demonstration, an introductory talk about the technology, or arranging treatments for several horses during one visit.

🐴 Group booking discounts are available, making it more cost-effective for owners to arrange treatments together. The more horses booked at the same yard, the more economical it can be to organise a visit.

This is Dolly, she has been on strict rest, due to a core lesion in her suspensory!
We have been assisting with Dolly during her rehab along side her veterinary care and

Fingers crossed for some fab news and Dolly coming back to doing what she does best. 💜💜🤞🏻

What is the suspensory ligament?
A horse’s suspensory ligament is a band of tissue running down the back of the cannon bone on all four legs that supports the ankle joint and stops it from dropping too low. While also absorbing shock, and helping to propel horses forward strides.

Common injuries
The suspensory ligament is prone to strain, micro-tears, or inflammation (known as desmitis) from jumping, fast racing, or working on bad footing. Signs of injury include limping (lameness), heat, and swelling.
