In case you missed it - yesterday's piece on BBC Scotland News about the delays in the diagnostic assessment for autism.

The piece includes two families in Fife telling their story as well as our Director Nick Ward talking about how people have been waiting months and in some cases years for a diagnosis.

Action is desperately needed so that people are not waiting in limbo and can get the support they need.

To thank some of our dedicated volunteers for all their hard work, we arranged a virtual alpaca trek activity with 3 very cute alpacas from Edenmill Farm in Glasgow - Rio, Sully and Loggie!

We got up close to them through the screen, saw where they lived, and learnt lots about them from our guide Hannah. Volunteers across, Moving Forward+ as well as our Social Groups programme had a great time doing something a little bit different!

You can find out more about some of the programmes we offer here: https://www.autism.org.uk/what-we-do/scotland

A huge thank you to SAMH for working with our Moving Forward+ Volunteer Mentors as part of the 'Let’s TALK' Project.

We know that transitions can often be challenging for many autistic people and that many are anxious about the changes to life as lock down restrictions are eased.

The session explored ways our volunteers can support the people they are working with to help that transition and promote positive lifestyle changes.

You can find out more about our Moving Forward+ programme which is funded by @CashBackforCommunities here: https://www.autism.org.uk/what-we-do/scotland/moving-forward
