Yoghurt, a great source of protein and healthy bacteria AND we need to be careful how we eat it.

Don’t have every day, don’t eat at night, eat more in cold weather than hot, have with mung or honey, make into buttermilk, and be careful what you mix it with. And more!

See my newest article all about yoghurt. Link in bio or story.

How do you eat yours?

Licorice restores mitochondrial function, synaptic plasticity and kinase signalling - disease modifying effect on Alzheimer’s.

Licorice (yashtimadhu in sanskrit) has been used for time immemorial in Ayurveda as a brain tonic (medhya).

I have a large range of herbs, which I select individually for each client, choosing based on long-standing Ayurvedic use as per the classical texts and including the latest research results.

What about you, what are your thoughts on licorice?

Ever wish you could reboot your body the way you restart a glitchy computer? We have something for that in Ayurveda. Panchakarma (literally ‘five procedures’) are a collection of five purifying techniques which are the Ayurvedic gold standard in disease treatment and prevention.

Improved digestive fire → better nutrient absorption
Reducing inflammation → calmer skin, joints, metabolism
Resetting gut–brain axis → steadier mood and sleep
Removing accumulated waste → more efficient cellular repair
Resetting appetite and cravings → metabolic clarity

Ayurveda has refined cleansing and digestive reset techniques for more than 3,000 years. Panchakarma draws on that lineage, offering structured ways to restore balance. Each technique has a different direction of action: downward (purge), inward/grounding (e***a), or upward/clearing (nasal).

I’ve written an article about panchakarma and offer it in my clinic - it doesn’t cost as much or take as long as you’d think. Do check out the link in bio (via the blog link).

Have you ever done panchakarma? I’d love to hear about it. Also, do message if you’ve got more questions.
