When an event organiser of an Adventure Triathlon in Kinlochleven contacted our friends earlier this week Lifeline Medical Services Ltd with a last minute requirement, having been let down by another provider. We adopted a collaborative response to help ensure the event had the right level of medical cover to allow the event to safely go ahead.

Our Comms team Ed and Stefan were up bright and early to get our VHF DMR repeater into position on Skiddaw Little Man, providing resilient communications for Aviva UK Sustainability Skiddaw Challenge. Providing the system is providing end to end Comms between event organisers, mountain safety teams and our own medical team.

We are supporting Cumbria Wildlife Trust Aviva UK Sustainability Skiddaw Challenge today, our medical team is out on the course supporting participants Skiddaw House YH and our communications team is up Little Man providing VHF DMR communications across the length of the event.
