🎾 A fantastic first tennis taster session!

Today we had the pleasure of delivering a tennis taster session for the girls at Riyadh-Ul-Uloom Faith-Based Homeschool Institution in Pendle.

It was wonderful to see the girls getting involved, building confidence and giving tennis a go. Some of the girls had never picked up a tennis racket or played tennis before, making this their very first experience of the sport!

There were smiles, enthusiasm, new skills and plenty of encouragement along the way. It was lovely to see everyone having a go, stepping outside their comfort zones and discovering a new sport.

Our aim is to make tennis accessible, inclusive and enjoyable for everyone, creating opportunities for girls to try something new, stay active and develop confidence through sport.

Here's to new experiences, new skills and hopefully the beginning of a love for tennis! 💚🎾

🧡 This month is Islamophobia Awareness Month.

As many of us know, Islamophobia is on the rise, and it is something we cannot afford to ignore.

For Muslim women, particularly those who wear the hijab and niqab, the experience can be especially challenging. They can be subjected to increased prejudice, verbal abuse, discrimination, hateful comments and unwanted attention simply because of how they choose to practise their faith.

No woman should feel unsafe, intimidated or judged for wearing her hijab or niqab. Every woman deserves dignity, respect, safety and the freedom to express her faith without fear.

Islamophobia doesn’t always leave visible bruises. Sometimes it is found in the words, looks, attitudes and actions that make people feel unwelcome or excluded.

At The Impact Hub, we stand for equality, inclusion, understanding and respect for all.

Let’s challenge prejudice, stand alongside those affected and speak up when we witness hate.

🎾🧶 A fun and creative evening at The Impact Youth Club!

We started with an indoor tennis warm-up before trying our hand at crochet for the very first time! Well done to all the girls for giving it a go! Although it took some time to get the hang of it, they all did so well and we are so proud of them for persevering! 💪🏼🫶🏼

With the stormy weather lately and the colder temperatures outside, a cosy hot chocolate was the perfect way to warm up! ☕️🤎

A very special thank you to our lovely crochet teacher, Shabnam, for sharing her skills and teaching the girls something new. 🌹
We can’t wait to see what they create next, insha’Allah! 🪡✨

The Impact Youth Provision – Indoor Tennis Sessions!

The Impact Youth Provision has launched its indoor tennis sessions for children aged 5–9! 🎾🙌

The children had a fantastic time on getting active, developing their skills, building confidence and, most importantly, having fun! 😃👏

A huge thank you to Burnley Pendle & Rossendale Council For Voluntary Service BPR CVS for providing the funding that enables us to deliver these free tennis sessions and create positive opportunities for young people in our community. 💙

Our ladies got active and had a wonderful first indoor tennis session 🥳🎾

It was all about movement, building confidence, and embracing a healthier lifestyle together. 💪🏽❤️

And the fun didn’t stop on the tennis court! 🥰 After our session, the ladies sat down for a great chat in a relaxed and welcoming environment. 💬☕ It was a lovely opportunity to get to know one another, share conversations, build friendships, and strengthen connections beyond the court.

Because getting active is not just about moving our bodies — it’s also about nurturing our wellbeing, building community, and creating meaningful connections. 🌸❤️

🌿🔥 An EPIC Saturday at Harwes Farm CIC! 🔥🌿

This Saturday, we took our girls’ youth club on our FIRST EVER youth trip, and what an absolutely amazing day we had! 🥹💚

We kicked things off with some lovely hot chocolate ☕ before heading off on a long walk through nature to our campfire. The girls got hands-on with fire lighting 🔥, followed by some outdoor cooking 🍃🍲.

We then slowed things down with some beautiful nasheed singing, grounding ourselves, and taking time to connect with nature. 🌳🤍 It was so special to see the girls embracing the outdoors, learning new skills, building confidence, and making memories together.

And to finish off our incredible day, we got to meet Scottie the sheep! 🐑🥹💚

Our first trip was everything we hoped it would be and more! A day full of adventure, laughter, learning, connection, and beautiful memories that we’ll treasure for a long time.

A huge thank you to Harwes Farm CIC for giving our girls such a wonderful experience. Here’s to many more adventures, insha’Allah! 🤍✨
