🎬🍿 MOVIE NIGHT AT COLTON LODGES! 🍿🎬

What a lovely evening our residents are having at Colton Lodges Care Home! ❤️

Our wonderful night staff and residents recently shared a lovely suggestion in Elmet’s Suggestion Box — they would love to have more evening events where everyone could come together and enjoy some quality time with one another. 💕

So, we made it happen! ✨

Our fabulous night staff arrived for their shift in their PJ’s, bringing along some delicious treats for our residents. 🥰🍫☕ We then brought out the big movie screen, got ourselves comfy and settled in for a special movie night together. 🎥🍿

And the residents chose the perfect film… 🚀🎶

It was so lovely to see our residents and staff enjoying this special time together. ❤️

💜 World Alzheimer’s Day 💜

Staff, residents and relatives at Colton lodges completed the sponsored walk and raised over £250

Today, we remember everyone living with Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia, and we stand beside the families, friends, and carers who walk this journey with them.

Alzheimer’s can change memories, routines, and abilities, but it never takes away a person’s worth, dignity, or the love they share with those around them.

Today is a reminder to listen, understand, show patience, and cherish the moments that matter. Let’s work towards a world where people affected by dementia are supported, respected, and never made to feel alone.

Today was all about celebrating our fantastic housekeeping team! ❤️

We wanted to say a BIG thank you for everything they do to keep our home clean, comfortable and welcoming for our residents every single day. 🏡✨

🎁 Our lovely housekeepers were surprised with gifts and cards made by our residents

🧺 And it wasn’t just the staff getting involved… our residents had great fun joining in with some housekeeping activities too!

It was lovely to welcome everyone back, with plenty of singing, smiles, laughter and special moments shared together. The residents absolutely loved joining in and seeing some familiar little faces again. 🥰🎵

We had a lovely, fulfilling morning getting creative with some still life drawing. 🖼️✨
Our residents really enjoyed putting pencil to paper, showing off their artistic skills and creating their own wonderful drawings. It was a relaxing session filled with concentration, creativity and plenty of smiles. 🥰🎨
