Fantastic news on the progress against HPV πŸ‘πŸ’™

At Groundwork Yorkshire, we are proud to support vaccination programmes that protect people now and help prevent cancer in the future. HPV vaccination saves lives – and it’s never been more important to ensure ALL eligible young people take up the offer.

πŸ’™ HPV Vaccine – Protecting Our Children's Future πŸ’™

Calling all parents and carers of Year 8 students (aged 12–13 years)!

Did you know that the HPV vaccine is routinely offered to both girls and boys in secondary school? This vaccine helps protect against HPV (Human Papillomavirus), a common virus that can cause several types of cancer later in life.

There is also a catch-up programme available through colleges for young people who may have missed their vaccination at school.

We know you may have questions or concerns, and that's completely understandable. Our aim is to help put your mind at rest by sharing accurate information and dispelling some of the common myths surrounding the HPV vaccine.

βœ… The HPV vaccine is safe.
βœ… It has been used worldwide for many years.
βœ… It helps protect against HPV-related cancers.
βœ… It is offered to both boys and girls because everyone deserves protection.

Don't let misinformation make the decision for you. Get the facts, ask questions, and make an informed choice for your child.

Together, we can help protect the next generation. πŸ’™

Did you miss your HPV vaccination at school?

If you are under 25, you can still get it for free on the NHS.

The HPV vaccine protects against cancers caused by the human papillomavirus, including cervical cancer.

The jab itself is quick, taking just a few seconds, and most people find it relatively painless.

Don't miss out on protection that is still available to you. Speak to your GP or visit an NHS clinic to find out more.
