Regardless of your injection choice we use ultrasound.
The use of ultrasound has two main purposes.
1. Accuracy
First, we can assess the area to be injected, before your procedure, to ensure the intended location is the best option, which lowers the risk of any complications.
Secondly, we can view the needle placement during the procedure, to ensure the injection is put in exactly the required location, which improves the likelihood of an injection being successful - improving pain, inflammation and activity levels.
2. Safety
Paramount to any injection is your safety.
Using ultrasound allows us to view (and avoid) any important structures that the needle may need to pass near…
Reducing any discomfort during the procedure and any unintended secondary injury.
That is why all our injections are ultrasound guided.
