PRP, microneedling or skin boosters — which one should you actually choose?
They’re often talked about as if they do the same thing.
They don’t.
And that’s where a lot of confusion starts.
Some treatments stimulate.
Some regenerate.
Some hydrate.
And the “best” one depends on what your skin actually needs.
Microneedling is mainly about controlled stimulation.
It can support collagen production, skin repair and improve texture.
It may be a good option when concerns include:
• uneven texture
• enlarged pores
• post-acne marks
• early loss of firmness
• overall skin quality
PRP works differently.
It uses your own blood, rich in platelets and autologous growth factors.
The aim is to support repair, regeneration and tissue quality.
It can be especially useful when the goal is to support the skin’s own regenerative processes.
Skin boosters are different again.
Their main role is usually hydration, elasticity and overall skin quality.
They can be useful when skin feels:
• dehydrated
• crepey
• dull
• less elastic
• in need of better hydration support
So which one is better?
There isn’t one winner.
And stronger doesn’t automatically mean better.
A good treatment plan starts with:
your skin condition,
your sensitivity,
your history,
your concerns,
and your goals.
That’s why I always believe in assessing the skin first.
Then choosing the treatment.
Not the other way around.
I’ve also written a full guide comparing PRP, microneedling and skin boosters in more detail 👉🏻you can read it via the link in my bio.
