the latest episode of the Training Ground has landed ✨
opening up to a stranger can be one the scariest & most challenging things we can do in life.
but it can also be the most profound, beautiful experience, one that facilitates deep healing & spiritual evolution.
yet, there is still so much stigma around seeking help - particularly in black, brown & asian communities where our ancestors struggled to simply survive & getting help was not an option.
but whether we like to admit it or not, there will come a time in ALL our lives where we need to seek counsel - a therapist, a coach, a spiritual guide.
when we choose support we have the wisdom to accept that we don’t know it all & that some healing requires expertise & connection.
in this candid chat Jon & Jenna explore:
their personal experiences of being mocked, ridiculed & called weak for doing therapy
cultural conditioning that often serves as a barrier to seeking help ancestral trauma, immigrant parents & how to heal generations of real world survival the power of holding space & why things like shame can only be dissolved through being witnessed healing as a brown person in predominantly white spaces
why vulnerability is the key to healing?
what is your experience of seeking counsel?
are you an advocate or a sceptic?
join the conversation, we’d love to know 💜
