๐โโ๏ธ๐ A huge shout out to Mary, who recently completed a 5K race after working her way back from a long-standing knee injury.
Mary had been struggling with patellar tendinopathy for around two years. At its worst, things like walking, stairs, sitting and jumping could flare her knee up, with symptoms sometimes lasting for weeks.
Since then, sheโs put a huge amount of work into getting back to the gym and running again with James Siddle | Physiotherapist
Her rehab has included massage, shockwave, taping, progressive strength and hopping exercises, her own gym programme, a running assessment and a gradual return-to-running programme.
After completing the return-to-run programme, she recently took part in a 5K event and finished it with minimal pain. ๐
Thereโs been no quick fix. Itโs taken a lot of time, consistency, effort and trust in the process from Mary.
Brilliant to see all that work pay off. Huge congratulations, Mary! ๐
