COME AND TAKE A LOOK INSIDE ICANDANCE โœจ
Ever wondered what a session at icandance is like?
Itโ€™s a place to explore, move, create and connect. A place where every dancer is welcomed for who they are, encouraged to express themselves and given the space to discover their own possibilities.
Through dance and movement, disabled children and young people can share experiences, build connections and enjoy being part of a community where they belong. ๐Ÿ’›

Threading Organisms 3.0 is a socially engaged art project led by artist Tere Chad, bringing together textile upcycling, performance, science and literature to explore how living beings coexist through cooperation and interdependence.

From 10 August to 5 September, participants took part in a textile marathon: a creative residency of guided tours, literature sessions and hands-on workshops with guest mentors from the sciences and humanities. Together, they transformed textiles donated by local people into costumes and artworks.

Now those threads come together on stage. The iam Dance Company will dance through, around and under this vibrant textile collage, exploring how unique living beings find unity and joy in an evolving world. ๐ŸŒ

Come and be part of the celebration. Everyone is welcome! ๐Ÿ’›

Twenty years ago, Juliet Diener founded icandance with a simple, powerful belief: every child and young person deserves the right to dance, express themselves, and be heard.

Over the last two decades, our community has grown into something truly inspiring. We have discovered that what we do is so much more than dance. It is about a deep, unconditional sense of belonging.

๐ŸŽฅ To celebrate our 20th anniversary, we have captured the heart and soul of the icandance story in a beautiful new film detailing our journey from 2006 to today.

Head to the link in our bio to watch the full film on YouTube! ๐ŸŽฌ

Huge thanks to Tom Hobden () and Justin Mills for bringing this project and our story to life so beautifully. ๐Ÿค
