Recently I shared some creations to spiritual teacher Lorie Ladd having participated in her Walk with Jesus class, as part of a testimonial and a gift for her, instructed by Jesus who I'd collaborated with during the classes. The thoughts of "who are you to be sharing these things with Lorie, you are just blowing your own trumpet and wanting to be seen as special" etc. I discussed this with Jesus and He clarified these thoughts are a programme purposely imposed on us to keep us from expressing and sharing. He inspired me to share more about this on this video particularly aimed at those who are active in some form of expressive art, yet holding back from sharing due experiencing these kind of thoughts.

In the last few days it's come to light how I habitually need to feel useful and feel out of sorts if I'm not. I'm aware this stems from the programmes we are exposed to daily which cause us to feel pressured into taking action in some way to curb the incessant restlessness to accomplish or accumulate more information. This was highlighted further when Lorie Ladd shared a channelled message from Jesus in her community. As I sat with Jesus in stillness and quiet today He inspired me to write this poem reiterating in a roundabout way what He had imparted to us during the live.

Surrender the Need to Be Useful

Surrender the need to be useful

that pressure to always fulfil some good deed

that stems through other people

TV, or social media feed



This daily bombardment of information,

expectations, demands to be a certain way

that has us follow without question

standards or ideas we think we must obey



It’s not about constantly accomplishing

those never-ending goals

most of which are fruitless

and just send us down rabbit holes



It’s time to stop this unconscious behaviour

and make concerted effort to be still

so, we may embody more presence

and begin to follow Divine Will



For we are now being invited

to live life from a peaceful stance

no matter what is occurring

or any circumstance



It may make us feel uncomfortable

and tempt us to abort

only to fall back into ease and comfort

those programmes that distort



But if we wish to be freed from this slavery

and intense emotional states

we must lesson all the activities

overloading our plates



Spending more time in silence

incubating for some while

to allow the omnipresence

to dissolve within all that’s hostile

For the last 17 days I've been partaking in this class with Lorie Ladd "Walk with Jesus" a 21 day immersion with Jesus to build an intimate relationship with Him, independent of any religious framework.
He's had me write poetry, create a painting of Him and serve in fun playful ways. Tapping into the childlike spirit that's been pretty supressed over the years.
However, the last couple of classes a more vulnerable side has begun to surface and I've been in floods of tears. Nothing can be hidden from Him and he knows I've been holding things in to avoid rocking the boat with my parents who have their own struggles which in turn impact me.
Though He wishes to have fun as part of building our relationship he also wants to address the hurts and pains I'm carrying from putting others first.
This morning I received the words "stop trying to keep it altogether" and was inspired to write this poem basically His words in poetic form.

Stop Trying to Keep It All Together

Stop trying to keep it
all together
when really, you’re running ragged
and at the end of your tether!

Let go of the idea you need to
hold it all in and soldier on
passed from generation to generation
that’s not truth but a con

It’s time my child
to be freed from this habit of old
where you suffer in silence
just to fit in a society mould

You know its detrimental
and your health’s been affected
but you’ve carried on regardless
to avoid being exiled and rejected

Its time to surrender now
relinquish all control
for Divine supports at hand
to pull you out from this hole

Spend time in stillness
and ask for this assistance
don’t let pride or mistrust
keep you in resistance

For you deserve to receive
your Divine birth right
of peace, love
and everlasting light

This is a follow-on from "My Walk with Jesus. Sharing in more detail how he is positively impacting my life. This video was inspired by a poem I wrote with the title of this video which I recite before talking about a recent story of how he helped me during a medical test that could have been more traumatic than it turned out to be.

I've had a connection with Jesus for many years through The Aetherius Society I've been a member of for over 10 years. However recently I felt compelled to get to know Jesus on a personal level and was guided to partake in a class facilitated by Lorie Ladd "Walking with Jesus" 21 days of learning to connect with Him in our own unique and personal way that is not affiliated to any religious path.

Through Lorie, Jesus has clarified he wishes to be seen in a new light, to break away from the dogma and stigma surrounding Him by people getting to know Him in their own way, beyond what people think they know about Him. He wishes to become a faithful friend rather than just been seen as a healer, teacher and that's it. Or put on some pedestal. His strong desire is to walk with us through our human experience in all it's contrasts, not to escape it but being able to stand in it, in stability and peace with Him at our side at all times.

We have been heavily programmed to do all this so called inner work by ourselves to try and manage life in our own way and limited understanding, so we continue to slog, shift numerous layers of trauma etc, etc that seems never ending. This is part of the infiltration from entities that wish to keep us distracted from our Divine heritage. Jesus wishes to show us a simpler way, one where we are not doing all the heavy lifting because in truth it is not for us to do this. Please note in saying this, it is not bypassing. We are still to go through what we are to go through, but the difference is we are asking for help to remove the burden, the heaviness from it.

Peace is a big theme in my life right now and I was inspired to write this poem about it. A peace that is beyond understanding and something we can easily dismiss when constantly being distracted by the offerings of the world.

The Peace Within

The peace within Is like a garden
that needs regular tending
to prevent the weeds of mind
from wildly ascending

An inner landscape
of fertile soil
to plant our seeds of attention
so, peace does not recoil

Nurturing daily
to germinate and sprout
by resisting nothing
of what comes about

This cuts away pesky thoughts
like some thorns on a bush
that can stab and prick
when we’re careless and rush

Peace is always present
but tends to be dismissed
as we stray from our garden
into the clouds and mist

To seek out fake blooms
and alluring scents
the worldly garden of
illusory contents

That soon disappoint
when they wither and die
leaving us feeling empty
and ready to cry

Maybe just maybe
an epiphany will rise
that the peace within
is the ultimate prize!

And we return to its garden
to rest and restore
and feel content
needing nothing more

This magical poem just came out of the blue with no trigger or inspiration. I loved how it evolved as I wrote it starting with the title then with the rest just unfolding as I typed.

The Girl in Between The Grass

The girl in between the grass
is rather a strange lass
a soul who is shy and reclusive
her presence is rather elusive

Occasionally seen amongst wildflowers
dancing during rain showers
caring not if she gets soaked to the skin
as it glistens and begins to illumine

Her hands then waft in the air
sparkling dust spreading everywhere
as transparent wings flap
to the rhythm of her feet that tap

Before she floats slightly above the ground
daintily swirling gracefully around
communing with the fauna and flora
that seem to revel in her magical aura

This aura is a sphere vibrant white
that transforms her form into light
an orb pulsing in the sky
suddenly vanishing in the blink of an eye

All is fleeting in this world apart from the holding field of it all a Divine essence that enables the human experience to be possible. This poem is inspired by this.

The Grace That Holds Us

The grace that holds us
weaves through our being like a thread
that’s never separate from us
no matter where we tread

It’s like a loving reassuring hand
holding us gently never letting go
and underlying essence beneath
the worldly egoic show

A faint recognition of it can arise
when effort is absent and we’ve relaxed
when the restless subsides
and we feel less taxed

It’s a stillness beneath movement
a spaciousness beneath thought
a tenderness under the armour
of a self-that’s often fraught

So even when life is turbulent
this force remains unaffected
no matter if feeling angry,
sorrow or just plain rejected

A quiet under the blanket of noise
all suffering or mindless busyness
deeper than all conditions
it brings a sense of relief from stress

Gradually a realisation can dawn
grace is deeper than circumstance
we can trust implicitly when we
surrender to its dance

I've been playing with new aqua markers to see how good they are, just doing some scribble drawing. It's one of my favourite activities because of it's wild and untamed nature. As I was in the midst of this activity I received inspiration for this poem. I have spoken about the benefits of scribble a number of times and this poem really encapsulates its attributes.

The Appeal of Scribble

The appeal of scribble Is
there’s no plan
its messy, imperfect
and I’m a huge fan!

With its random marks
of swirls and squiggles
can bring a smile
and sometimes giggles

With its untamed energy
spontaneous in nature
it’s a time to be playful with
the great creator

Just letting loose
no end goal in mind
it’s the best form of fun
to relax and unwind

Out of the blue
an image may appear
to elaborate, to define
and make crystal clear

Conveying a brief message
one needs to know
some guidance or a next step
to heed and follow

Scribbling is a de-stressor
to release intense emotions
when triggered to lash out
in drama and commotions

It’s a safe space,
a refuge on paper
preventing one causing
a regretful caper

The advantage of scribble
it needs no skillset
just a simple activity
to heal and reset

So much of our life is spent interpreting, making stories, meaning and judgements of all that we experience and how this can impact how we relate, act, speak and perceive life. Majority of these assumptions and stories are skewed and distorted. This poem conveys the effects of being bound to believing it and how the end of its reign can alter our life for the better.

The Reign of the Story Maker is No More!

The reign of the story maker
is no more
no longer a stronghold
as it was before

its cunning narratives
failing to entice
the one who’d been
at the mercy of its vice

Where once it was vital
to invest in life content
often distorted by
some traumatic event

Or measuring progress on
how well one’s improved
then seeking attention
to be approved

The never-ending chatter
forming a kind of static
triggers behaviour as if a
machine on automatic

Depending on thoughts
for resolution
duped into thinking
they could present a solution

Now dethroned
and lost its tight grip
it allows the witness
to take the helm of the ship

That navigates beyond
what’s ever been known
exploring uncharted waters
by presence alone

The story maker now plays
a subservient role
to obediently follow
the prompts of the soul

Unshackled from
the false tales once told
the soul is freed
from the restrictive mould

To commune with source
the creative life stream
to fulfil its destiny
and ultimate dream
