This weekend has felt A LOT! 🥹
I’ve worked 7 days straight. I’m a mum of two, and at times, it’s felt like I’ve been pulled in a million different directions.
Monday to Friday, I work full time. At weekends and evenings, I facilitate events, deliver talks and continue building my community.
Is it tiring? Absolutely. But do I genuinely love the work I do? Without a doubt.
This weekend, my girls asked me, “Mommy, are you working again?” And for a moment, I felt that familiar pang of mum guilt.
But then I reminded myself that my girls are growing up seeing something important. They know that “Mommy helps other women.”
They’re seeing me build something meaningful, show up for a purpose and chase a dream of my own.
I feel incredibly fortunate for the years I spent working part-time but that came with sacrifices, too. Financial sacrifices. Career sacrifices. And, at times, putting parts of myself and my ambitions on hold.
There’s no regrets, it was a time when my children needed me but as they become more independent it allows me time to grow my business, create financial freedom for my family and show my girls what it looks like to believe in yourself enough to go after what you want.
And yes, that means putting in the work.
My eldest is already showing signs of being an entrepreneur, and I hope that, through watching me, both my girls learn that they can dream big, work hard and create their own paths.
I want them to know that motherhood doesn’t mean the end of your ambitions. That you can be a present mum and a woman with big dreams. That sometimes, building the life you want means navigating seasons that feel full, messy and exhausting.
I won’t get the balance right every single day. I’m human. I’m a mum. I’m a woman building something bigger than herself.
And I’m proud of that.
Because Mommy isn’t giving up on her dreams.
Mommy is just getting started. ✨❤️
