Through the tough times I still say I’m a nurse with pride! it was the only job I wanted to do, (my school carers advisor told me I was too selective with my o level choices ‘what if you don’t get the grades? What are you going to do?) it was never in doubt, it was my destiny and it’s now a huge part of my identity, at 56 not too sure how many revalidations I have left in me but we’ll just have to see…….

Gel acrylic nails can lead to allergies that affect your ability to have other medical treatments… including replacement joints!

As this BBC article suggests:
“The allergies can leave sufferers unable to have medical treatments like white dental fillings, joint replacement surgery and some diabetes medications.”

Watch out for rashes and other skin changes if you love changing your nails and seek the advice of a dermatologist or your GP if you spot them!
