Yes, you can keep your socks on… or take them off

Yes, we can spend a little longer on those shoulders that carry so much tension.

Yes, you can chat about your day, share what’s on your mind, or simply enjoy the silence.

Yes, you can ask for the music to be turned down, a tissue, an extra blanket, cushion or a sip of water whenever you need it.

Yes, you can tell me if the pressure is too much… or not quite enough.

Yes, you can ask questions, change your mind, or let me know what feels right for you.

Yes, you can laugh, cry, drift off to sleep, or simply do nothing at all.

Yes, you can take a little extra time getting up when your treatment has finished.

And no, you never need to apologise for any of it. 🤍

Because your treatment isn’t about doing things the ‘right’ way.

It’s about feeling comfortable, listened to and cared for.

✨ Your treatment. Your comfort. Your time.

As some of you already know, I’m moving house on 29th October! 🏡

After the move, I’ll be taking around 3 weeks off to unpack, get organised and find my feet again amongst all the boxes! 📦🙈

If you’re already booked in during this time, don’t worry - your appointment will still go ahead one way or another and I’ll be in touch directly to discuss.

Before I disappear into a mountain of cardboard boxes, I have just 2 appointment slots remaining on Monday 26th October! 💆‍♀️✨

So, if you’re feeling in need of a little relaxation, some time to yourself or a well-deserved treatment before my short break, now’s your chance!

💌 Just pop me a message to snap up one of the last two spaces.

Thank you, as always, for your continued support and understanding. I’m looking forward to getting settled and welcoming you all back very soon.

Lots of love,
Becky

💗 LET’S TALK SKIN… ACNE & BREAKOUTS 💗

Acne isn’t just a teenage problem! It can affect us at any age causing spots, blocked pores, inflammation and sometimes scarring.

WHAT CAUSES IT?

Acne develops when excess oil and dead skin cells block pores, allowing acne-related bacteria to contribute to inflammation.

Common contributing factors include:

Hormonal changes, including puberty and menopause
Stress, which can worsen breakouts
Pore-clogging skincare or makeup
Certain medications
Genetics

WHAT CAN HELP?

The key is balancing oil production while protecting your skin barrier – not stripping your skin!

Ingredients to look for:

✨ Salicylic acid – helps unclog pores
✨ Niacinamide – supports the skin barrier and may help regulate oiliness
✨ Azelaic acid – helps with blemishes and post-acne marks
✨ Benzoyl peroxide – targets acne-related bacteria

Try to avoid: Harsh scrubs, over-cleansing, heavy pore-clogging products and picking or squeezing spots.

Wash your towels regularly; bamboo facecloths have naturally antibacterial properties while being kind to skin. And don’t forget your daily SPF!

💙💜 CAN LED LIGHT THERAPY HELP?

Blue LED light targets bacteria associated with acne and may help reduce mild inflammatory breakouts.

Purple light combines blue and red wavelengths, bringing together acne-focused light therapy with red light’s potential skin-soothing benefits.

Research is encouraging, although results vary and regular treatments may be needed. LED works best as a complement to appropriate skincare rather than a replacement for medical acne treatment.

HOW CAN CALM & GLOW HELP?

Following a personalised skin assessment, we can explore suitable skincare, gentle facial treatments and targeted blue or purple LED therapy.

My standalone LED facial includes a double cleanse, tone, 10 minutes of personalised light therapy and carefully selected finishing skincare for just £30 or you can add light therapy onto your regular facial for just £15

💚 LET’S TALK WELLBEING… FIBROMYALGIA 💚

Fibromyalgia is a long-term condition affecting how the nervous system processes pain signals. It can cause widespread pain, fatigue, disrupted sleep and increased sensitivity to touch.

WHAT CAUSES IT?

The exact cause isn’t fully understood, but it’s thought to involve changes in how the brain and nervous system process pain.

Symptoms can be made worse by stress, poor sleep, overexertion and sometimes changes in temperature.

WHAT CAN HELP?

There’s no one-size-fits-all approach, but small, consistent steps can help with symptom management.

✨ Gentle movement and pacing activities
✨ Prioritising sleep and relaxation
✨ Stress management, breathwork and mindfulness
✨ Gentle massage, adapted to individual comfort levels

💚 CAN GREEN LIGHT THERAPY HELP?

Interestingly, small studies have explored green-light exposure for people living with fibromyalgia, with some participants reporting reduced pain and improved quality of life.

The research is promising but still in its early stages. However, green LED can be explored as a relaxing addition to a personalised wellbeing routine, without expecting it to treat the condition itself.

HOW CAN CALM & GLOW HELP?

My approach is always tailored to how you’re feeling on the day, combining gentle massage, relaxation and optional light therapy.

💚 Calm & Glow Express – £55
30-minute back, neck and shoulder massage, adapted to your comfort, followed by a 25-minute personalised LED facial using green light therapy.

💚 LED Enhancement – £15
Add 10 minutes of targeted green LED light to a suitable body area alongside your bespoke massage, lymphatic drainage or reflexology treatment.

Because living with a chronic condition can be exhausting, and self-care should feel supportive, not like another thing you have to achieve.

🌸 LET’S TALK SKIN… ROSACEA 🌸

Rosacea is a common inflammatory skin condition causing redness, visible blood vessels, sensitivity and sometimes acne-like bumps.

WHAT TRIGGERS IT?

Although the exact cause isn’t fully understood, common triggers include:

☀️ Sun exposure and heat
🌶️ Spicy foods and alcohol
😰 Stress and hormonal fluctuations
🌡️ Temperature changes
🧴 Irritating skincare products

WHAT CAN HELP?

When it comes to rosacea, gentle skincare is key!

Ingredients to look for:

✨ Ceramides – support your skin barrier
✨ Hyaluronic acid – to help skin retain moisture
✨ Azelaic acid – can help with redness and bumps
✨ Niacinamide – may soothe and support sensitive skin

Try to avoid: Harsh scrubs, strong exfoliating acids, fragrance and alcohol-heavy products.

And don’t forget your daily SPF 30–50! ☀️

🔴🟡 CAN LED LIGHT THERAPY HELP?

Red and yellow LED light are being explored for their potential to support calmer-looking skin and reduce visible redness.

While research specifically for rosacea is still developing, LED may be a gentle complementary option to help reduce symptoms and support a gentle skincare approach.

HOW CAN CALM & GLOW HELP?

Following a personalised skin assessment, we can explore suitable skincare, calming facial options, stress management and whether LED therapy could complement your routine.

💗 Because healthy skin isn’t about perfection – it’s about understanding and caring for the skin you’re in.

✨ Gua Sha… a little ritual with a lot of intention

Gua sha is so much more than a beauty trend. For me, it’s about slowing down, releasing facial tension and turning skincare into a little moment of self-care. 🤍

I use gua sha in many of my facials, but it’s also a lovely technique to bring into your routine at home.

A few tips to get the most from it:

✨ Prep - Always start with clean skin and plenty of slip. A facial oil or serum helps the stone glide rather than pull at the skin. I love TEMPLESPA It’s All Good for this.

✨ Angle - Aim for around a 10–15° angle, rather than holding the stone upright.

✨ Go gently - More pressure doesn’t mean better results. Facial gua sha should feel soothing, not painful.

✨ Think outward, not just upward - Use slow, intentional strokes, generally working from the centre of the face outwards. Around the neck and lymphatic areas, technique and direction matter too.

✨ Keep it clean - Wash your tool after use with mild soap and warm water and allow it to dry.

Regular gua sha can help with puffiness and fluid movement, while the massage itself can feel wonderful for tension around the jaw, brow and face. And perhaps my favourite benefit? It makes you stop for a few minutes and actually connect with your body rather than rushing through another routine.

🌿 A little reset…

And off they go… two nights at Cub camp. 🏕️💚

Backpacks almost as big as they are, far too much stuff, and two very excited boys ready for an adventure.

I’ll miss them (probably more than they’ll miss me 😂), but I also love that they get to have these experiences, making memories, building confidence and discovering that they can do hard things without us right beside them.

And while they adventure, I’m taking it as a little reminder for me too.

Sometimes rest isn’t something we have to earn.
Sometimes a pause doesn’t need to be productive.
Sometimes looking after everyone else can wait for a moment while we check in with ourselves.

So for the next couple of days, I’m giving myself permission to slow down a little. To reset. To do a few things that fill my cup and perhaps do absolutely nothing at all for a while…. maybe 🤣🤣

Because taking care of ourselves doesn’t take anything away from the people we love.

It helps us come back to them with a little more of ourselves to give. 💙💙

☀️ Some days just feel heavy.

I don’t want to complain. There’s so much exciting stuff happening and so much to look forward to.

But equally, I want to be real and honest.

Do you ever have those days when your anxiety is just a little louder? When doing the things you know will help somehow feels harder?

Or maybe you’re just f***ing tired.

The thing I’m reminding myself at the moment is this:

Feeling better shouldn’t become another thing you have to accomplish.

The last week or so, I’ve been trusting that one tiny step in the right direction is enough.

💧 Filling my water bottle in the morning.
🛁 Having a hot bath.
🏡 Clearing one little space at a time in the massive pre-moving-house clear out.
🏋️ One gym session… which somehow turned into more…

And guess what?

I’m slowly starting to feel a little better.

Not because I’ve fixed everything. Not because I suddenly have all the answers. Just because those tiny things are starting to add up.

You can have a hard day and still take one small step forward.

You can rest.
You can go gently.
You can let uncomfortable feelings be there without needing to figure them all out.

And if all you can manage today is doing the best you can with what you have?

That counts. 🤍

Sometimes one small step really is enough.
