Gina Dallison - Loving Life No Matter What I use powerful coaching processes to give my clients a safe, non-judgmental space to dig deep to discover what really lights their fire.

Speaker | Writer | Positive Living Advocate 🦋 🎙️ Host of Diagnosis Rewritten ♿ Accessibility champion & occasional loo inspector! ✨ Changing perspectives on chronic illness I help people who are living with a life-altering diagnosis develop and maintain a positive mindset and healthy habits to enable them to live their best life, irrespective of any diagnosis. I work one-to-one with people and in groups to help people make sustainable changes to enable them to take full responsibility for their health. A little about me ...
I was diagnosed with Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis in 2009 and started taking a weekly injection of Drug Modifying Therapy in 2010. When my symptoms worsened in 2016, I started looking outside of the western medical model for answers. I am now managing my condition without any medication which has been a very spiritual journey, which I am still on. It has been a very introspective journey which has led me to change all aspects of my life, including my career. I now am a Life Coach, supporting others with a frightening diagnosis, look inside themselves for their own answers. I now see my diagnosis as a beautiful gift and guide others to a similar shift in perspective which is literally life-changing.

A deeper Week 6 reflection ✨

I’m sharing the steps I’m taking to manifest my own reality, and the beliefs guiding me along the way. 🌱

A big part of that is slowing down and making time for meditation - and treating it as important. 🧘‍♀️ It isn’t always easy, so I’m sharing where I’m at and what I’m learning. 💛

If anything resonates, send me a DM. 💌

👻 A GHOUL, BEETLEJUICE AND TWO AWARDS! 🎃🏆

Only at Toastmasters! 😂

Last night's Halloween extravaganza at Godiva Speakers wasn't just about spooky costumes and laughter…

It was about celebrating GROWTH! 🌱

🪲 Our President Lauren (aka Beetlejuice) achieved Level 1 of her Pathway!

👻 And I (the resident ghoul!) achieved Level 2 of mine!

Cue the rather unusual sight of Beetlejuice and a ghoul presenting each other with awards! 😂

But what exactly is Pathways?

🎤 It's the Toastmasters educational programme that helps us develop our public speaking, communication and leadership skills - one project, one challenge and one achievement at a time.

And this is actually my FOURTH pathway! 🎉

Why keep doing them?

Because every time I revisit a project, I discover something new.

✨ More experience.
✨ Fresh perspectives.
✨ Different challenges.
✨ Another opportunity to grow.

Same programme. Different version of me.

That's the magic of lifelong learning!

At Godiva Speakers, we celebrate every step forward - whether you're delivering your very first speech or working through your fourth pathway.

And sometimes we do it in fancy dress! 👻💚

5 Weeks After Vipassana - Am I Finally Learning to Love Myself? ❤️

Another week of highs, lows and everything in between!

A date disappeared on me, I've signed up for another 10-day silent meditation retreat, and I've had days when I've felt utterly exhausted, frustrated with my body and downright sorry for myself!

But I've also meditated every single day, enjoyed some wonderful connections and started questioning the stories I tell myself.

One of my biggest lessons this week? Maybe I don't need to keep trying to fix myself. Maybe I can learn to love and appreciate my extraordinary body exactly as it is today.

I'm learning to accept this moment, even when it's uncomfortable, and recognise when I'm distracting myself rather than facing what I'm feeling.

Because Loving Life No Matter What doesn't mean loving every moment. It means learning to love myself through all of them. ❤️

🚽♿ GINA'S LOO LOWDOWN! 😂

Accessible or Questionable? 🤔

This time I'm at the Benn Hall in Rugby, where I'm celebrating a fabulous evening at the Rugby in Bloom Awards! 🏆🌸🌿

Our wonderful Friends of Bluebell Walk group picked up a Gold Award! 🥇💚

But you know me… I can't resist checking out the accessible toilets! 😂

The Benn Hall is a popular venue for meetings, concerts, theatre and community events.

But just because a venue is accessible, does that mean its toilets are actually easy to use?

🚪 Can I get in and out independently?

♿ Is there enough room to manoeuvre?

👜 Is there somewhere to hang my bag?

🪞 And will I FINALLY find a mirror?! 😂

Because accessibility isn't just about getting through the door. It's about dignity, independence and being able to do the things everyone else takes for granted. ❤️

So, Benn Hall… Accessible or Questionable? 👀🚽

🧘‍♀️ 3 weeks after Vipassana - and life certainly isn't all peace and serenity! 😂💜

This week has been a real rollercoaster!

✨ Moments of absolute bliss
😴 Falling asleep during meditation
💪 Challenging days living with MS
🍪 Being completely seduced by chocolate cookies
❤️ New connections, boundaries and unexpected breakthroughs

But the biggest shift?

I'm becoming more aware of the stories I tell myself, my reactions and my need to push through.

I'm learning that meditation isn't about getting it right or achieving some perfect state of calm.

It's about noticing what's happening, accepting what is and recognising that I always have choices.

And sometimes, the biggest breakthroughs happen when I stop trying so hard to make things happen.

Three weeks in, and I'm curious to see where this journey takes me! 🦋

Have you ever noticed how much your own thoughts influence your experience of life?

Maybe the 10-day silent retreat was the easy bit… 😂🧘‍♀️

It’s now just over a week since I walked out of Vipassana, with the intention of continuing two hours of meditation every day for a year.

Eight days in and real life is VERY much back.

Friends. Family. Work. Very little sleep. Unexpected adventures. Meditation in the car. Meditation when exhausted. And plenty of moments when it definitely hasn’t looked “perfect.”

But here’s what I’m learning:

✨ Consistency doesn’t have to mean perfection.
✨ Showing up can look different on different days.
✨ Two hours sounds enormous - until you start finding ways to make space for it.
✨ And perhaps the real practice isn’t what happens while I’m sitting with my eyes closed… it’s how I live the rest of my day.

The retreat lasted 10 days.

The real experiment started when I came home. ❤️

Day 8 - still going.

Two hours of meditation. Every. Single. Day. 😳🧘‍♀️

I'm five days out of my 10-day Vipassana retreat and I'm still managing to do it... but I'm definitely discovering what a commitment it is when REAL LIFE comes back into the equation!

Work. Friends. Appointments. Late nights. Exciting ideas. A brain that doesn't particularly fancy being quiet. 😂

This morning especially, my mind was all over the place. I kept having to bring myself back to the sensations in my body.

And perhaps that's the lesson.

A distracted meditation isn't a failed meditation.

The practice is noticing you've wandered - and coming back.

Again and again. ❤️

Vipassana + 4 🧘‍♀️✨

Today somehow went from meditation… to cake… to sugar… to the stories we tell ourselves. 😂🍰

Last night we celebrated Godiva Speakers' 300th meeting with cake - while, rather brilliantly, one of the speeches was about how much sugar is hidden in our food!

But it got me thinking about more than what we're feeding our bodies.

What are we feeding our minds?

I've been bringing BLIGNITE back into my everyday life - even when I'm standing in the kitchen chopping vegetables, reminding myself: "This is giving my body a workout. My body is getting stronger." 💪

Another two hours of meditation completed. I'm waking up inspired, speeches are writing themselves in my head, my energy feels really positive - and today my legs even felt a little stronger.

I'm only four days out of Vipassana, but I'm fascinated by what's unfolding. ❤️
