World Singing Day is next Saturday the 17th October and to celebrate I am hosting a completely FREE singing event here in Salisbury!

Yep! You can come and be part of an enormous choir for the day bringing together people of ALL ages and abilities!

The event is being hosted by me, Lilli Badcock 🥰 - Professional Singer, Vocal Coach, Sound Healer and founder of Sing To Heal Ltd and two choirs - Coffee, Cake & Choir and The Evolution Choir.

This event will be a celebration of SINGING with no limits!

It doesn’t matter if you believe you can’t sing, if you’ve never tried or even if you know 100% that you sound like a bag of strangled cats when you try (this has literally NEVER been true for anyone I’ve met by the way).

YOU ARE WELCOME HERE!!

We won’t be reading sheet music and we definitely won’t be taking anything too seriously! We absolutely will have the most fun though!

The venue has been kindly donated for free by St John’s Place in Lower Bemerton and there will be drinks available for a donation throughout the day. Overflow parking is being provided by South Wilts Sports Club.

Milly Moon Music performed her outstanding show Walking Stories tonight at the Elevate Dance Studio in Salisbury…

…and it’s left me almost speechless…almost! 😜

We are living in a world right now that seems to champion anything and everything that is artificial, performative and false. It would be easy to believe that we’ve lost the art of being real and we may despair at what the future might look like because of that.

But tonight I watched this POWERHOUSE of a woman stand up and deliver story upon story of the time she once spent hiking for five months alone along the Te Aroroa trail in New Zealand.

I watched in awe as she seamlessly wove her tales of courage, resilience, heartbreak and loss, effortlessly shifting from hilarious and heartwarming to gut wrenching grief and back again. Her tears (and mine) dried by the warm glow of lessons learned along the way.

And I felt…HOPEFUL.

Milly spoke about home tonight. About what truly defines it for us and how different that can be from one person to the next. And as she unleashed her incredible voice and frequencies into the room I realised that I felt at home right there.

Tonight I witnessed a soul sister standing in her undeniable power and she reminded me of my own.

I’m choosing more time spent like this with REAL souls and their REAL stories.

I reject anything that isn’t a gut punch to my soul in the best possible way!

Milly Moon you are a true GIFT! I feel so blessed to have witnessed you in all your amazing glory!

Today is my first official day in my brand new space at Elevate Dance Company - Salisbury.

I have been teaching singing and running choirs for over 20 years. After an anxiety diagnosis in 2013 and the loss of one of my best friends in 2020 I trained as a Sound Reiki Healer and experienced first hand the healing power of singing and sound.

After years of ‘hiding’ behind the singing teacher mask, this past year has been about me truly owning the depth of the work I do.

Yes, I can teach you to sing. But more than that I’ll help you remember who you really are beyond the challenges you’ve had to face.

I’ll remind you what joy feels like!

I’ll show you how to find peace in the chaos!

This is not about bypassing the pain and realities of life. It’s about learning to thrive anyway…and belting out Mariah* as you go! 😜

I combine over 20 years of experience as a professional Singer and Vocal Coach with over 10 years of spiritual and personal growth (well, a lifetime of that but only ten conscious years of it) plus counselling skills and the mindset and psychological aspects that are so key.

There is NOTHING else like this anywhere!

I was chatting with someone this week about my sound reiki and they had assumed I was classically trained! Well first of all, what an enormous compliment! I’ve always fancied having classical voice training but haven’t done it! Although the training I did as a vocal coach was in a method that was very much based on Bel Canto so I guess some of that has rubbed off.

But when I tell people that my singing voice is actually very gravelly and rocky they are always surprised!

So here’s a throwback to an open mic I did 16 years ago singing Skunk Anansie. TUNE!!!

And the thing is, it’s ALL me and it’s all healing! Healing doesn’t look or sound any specific kind of way and you don’t have to stay in the box that others tried to put you in!

Getting this tattoo is one of the best things I’ve ever done!

After years of hiding behind the mask of being just a singing teacher, it feels amazing to finally share the truth!

I believe my work has always been firmly rooted in ancestral healing. Liberating the voices of the women who feel like they were silenced for them and their entire lineage! I’ve just rarely said it out loud!

I’m done with trying to fit in and be palatable to those around me.

I am done shrinking myself down to make others more comfortable.

And I am done pretending I’m ok with ordinary when I came to be EXTRAORDINARY!

Sing To Heal was birthed three years ago and there is change afoot.

I have been sitting with everything I do and how I do it and I’m ready to burn anything to the ground that doesn’t feel in alignment with this new era I find myself in.

And yet…amidst all the change, my values remain:

Community - without each other we are nothing!

Self-empowerment - I already know that the reason you’ll thrive is YOU. It’s not me, or anything I create.

Authenticity - Keeping it all very real over here. There is SO much bu****it in the online and spiritual space. I’m here to expose it all whilst doing my own messy imperfect thing.

Continual Growth - There is no end point so I’m not going to promise to get you there. There is only ever growth and curiosity. I’m just here to walk with you for a while.

Shared Wealth - And I don’t just mean money. I mean there is ZERO point in me, or any of us, winning at life if we’re surrounded by others who are struggling. This ties back to the community element and pulling together so we all rise!

I’m sure I’ve missed loads out but this wasn’t a planned post and I’m literally sharing my messy thoughts as they land. As usual. 😜

UPDATE…

World Singing Day - Salisbury

I am so thrilled and excited to confirm that this free event is going ahead!

When?

Saturday 17th October from 2-6pm.

Where?

We are being very kindly hosted by St John’s Place in Lower Bemerton.

Who is this for?

Everybody! All ages and abilities are welcome! Whether you’re a seasoned professional, a shower star or someone who has never sung a note in your life, this is for you!

What to expect?

The session will be hosted by me - professional Singer, Vocal Coach, Choir Director (The Evolution Choir), Sound Reiki Healer and founder of Sing To Heal Ltd.

I will take you through some fun warm ups and well known songs in a singalong style before teaching you our arrangement for the day, broken down into easy to learn harmonies.

My teaching style is call and response so you don’t need to read any music. Lyric sheets will be provided.

There will be a bar where you can purchase soft drinks throughout the afternoon.

Accessibility

St John’s is fully accessible on ground level with accessible toilets.

There is a small car park across the road next to the school and cars may also park along the road.

Join me for tattoo day!

I cannot explain how momentous this feels! Finally owning the truth of who I am after so many years of seeking and questioning and doubting.

I am someone who has always healed through singing and encouraged others to do so as well. I didn’t always understand the depth and magnitude of what I was doing but I always understood the importance of it, even if that’s not the language I’d have used.

Dorisz, I am so happy we met when we did and I will be forever grateful for what you created for me!

Shelley Healey and Terri Marino you are both an enormous part of this too! My soul sisters ❤️
