Last night we had the pleasure of welcoming Zoe and Mike Langley into the pub as a stop on their walk around the entire GB coastline as a fundraiser for their local air ambulance service. Starting in Poole they estimate they won't compete the challenge until 2028! Thanks for stopping in and best of luck on your journey 🍻

Here's something new I'm trying peeps.

It's hard keeping up with all the socials when we're doing this big walking thing ... so here's a photo drop of my favourite pics from yesterday. Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Tynemouth via LNER train, a Metro train and a second walk under the Tyne via the pedestrian tunnel. It starts with a cheerio from Ben, Tara and the grandchildren at Alnmouth station.

The chap at the end is Pete, and I'll share more about our story with Pete in a separate post.

AD ... Here is one self-care joy I am happy to share with you where I can ensure I'm looking after my body during this mammoth walk we're doing.

We officially hit 1,600 miles yesterday and lay night we were looked after by a gorgeous couple, Helen and Iain in Tynemouth. I am not kidding you when I say I look forward to my vanilla Elavate ☆every day☆. It's become such a routine and I'm always disappointed I can't drink another later in the day (it's not recommended to take more than the stated dose).

Whether we're in the tent or in digs, hosted or roughing it, I do everything to make sure that this daily ritual stays put.

It's exactly two months until Christmas (sorry to bring that up!) and we have a l'il festive favour to ask. 🎄

I've created this poster myself (apart from Mike's Santa outfit) ... so I'm hoping a self-created graphic is worth something in this day and age of samey AI. Even the helicopter pic is mine. That's Peggy, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance's very own.

We're on a drive to encourage some more donations into our DSAA fundraising campaign. So many people look for alternatives to sending Christmas cards now, and instead give to a charity of their choice.

Please, can you help us raise £13,000 for DSAA by Christmas? This walk is going to start getting harder now, so every little helps not just the air ambulance, but keeps our morale up too. It makes our daily challenges worthwhile.
