The Sidcup Partners BID

The BID is funded by a small ‘levy’ on businesses within the area, based on the rateable value of their property.

The Sidcup Partners BID (Business Improvement District) is a business-led and business funded body formed to support the community and economic growth in Sidcup. In November 2016, the businesses in Sidcup voted in favour of creating a Business Improvement District (BID) and paying an annual contribution to help fund additional projects, services and events that would improve the local environment for the benefit of the community, businesses, employees and visitors alike. This raises in the region of £167,000 each year during the five-year term, so approximately £835,000 in total. This money will be used to promote Sidcup, to enhance the experience for visitors, to enable businesses to work together and to provide services to reduce business overheads. BID services are additional to those provided by the Council, Police and other providers. The Sidcup BID includes approximately 400 levy payers including well-known brands and organisations in the retail, leisure, hospitality and public sectors. We are an independent, non-profit company limited by guarantee. All the projects and services we deliver are additional to – not in place of – those already provided by the London Borough of Bexley. Our key aim is to raise the profile of Sidcup as a safe, clean, attractive and well-regarded destination for businesses, residents and visitors alike.

A huge thank you to Wright Eyewear! ❤️👓

What wonderful feedback to receive following our Halloween Trail. 🎃

They said they hadn’t seen that many people on the High Street for years, with lots of families popping into the practice throughout the day.

A special thank you to Fleur for doing all the stamps and Jack for handing out chocolates and Halloween glasses. 🎃🍫👓

This is exactly what our trails are all about, bringing families into our town and through the doors of our wonderful local businesses.

Thank you Wright Eyewear for getting so involved and helping make the day such a success! 💜

We're bringing Mindful Mums to Albany Park for the first time!

This November, our free five-week Mindful Mums groups return to Danson Children's Centre, Belvedere and Erith, with a brand-new group launching in Albany Park.

Becoming a mum can be wonderful, but it can also feel overwhelming or lonely. Our friendly, baby-friendly groups offer a welcoming space to meet other mums, share experiences and learn ways to support your wellbeing.

Our new five-week groups begin in November:

Danson Children's Centre – Mondays from 9 November, 10am–11.30am

Bedonwell Primary School, Belvedere – Tuesdays from 10 November, 12.30pm–2pm

Albany Park BC Community Hall – Wednesdays from 11 November, 11.30am–1pm (NEW LOCATION)

Erith West Street Family Hub – Thursdays from 12 November, 11am–12.30pm

Each group runs for five weeks. Babies are welcome, although children aged one and over cannot attend.
