🎃 How dilated is 10cm? Let’s talk pumpkins! 🤰🏼

Ever wondered what 1cm, 5cm or even 10cm dilation actually looks like?

We’ve used pumpkins to help demonstrate how your cervix gradually opens during labour, from completely closed (0cm) to fully dilated (10cm)!

It’s a fun little visual to help you understand what’s happening inside your body as your baby gets ready to make their entrance. 🧡

A few things to remember:
✨ Every woman’s labour is different.
✨ Cervical dilation doesn’t always happen at a steady rate.
✨ Being 4cm doesn’t mean you’re necessarily halfway there!
✨ Your body and baby work together throughout this amazing process.

And remember, 10cm is just one part of your birth journey.

When a woman is in labour, her birth partner is there to encourage her, reassure her, remind her of her strength, hold her hand through the pain, and celebrate when the baby finally arrives. ❤️
