For anyone who knows me, they’ll know just how important netball is to me!
I first joined Rookies Netball Club when I was 11 years old, and I’ve never looked back 🤩 Since then, I’ve played in local leagues, Cambridge County League, and Regional League, involving plenty of travelling around the country!
At 15, I was selected for England’s Indoor Netball World Cup long squad, and at 17 I was fortunate enough to compete in the under 21 squad that travelled to South Africa for the 2019 World Cup 🇿🇦
It was through this journey that my interest in recovery and performance began to grow. I also had the amazing opportunity to observe a physiotherapist in a hands-on role during the tournament, giving me an insight into the impact physiotherapy can have on athletes and performance.
Throughout university, I continued to play netball and captained the team during my final year. This developed my leadership skills and allowed me to use my knowledge of exercise and performance to deliver targeted training sessions, helping the team continuously develop.
I continue to play for Rookies’ Regional team, where I’m lucky enough to experience incredible teamwork, commitment and dedication to performing at our best 💙
Netball has given me so many amazing experiences, opportunities and memories, and continues to be a huge part of who I am 🤍
