Imagine sitting inside the world’s largest singing bowl as it begins to sing… ✨

At 2.33 metres in diameter and weighing 2.7 tonnes, this extraordinary bowl can continue to resonate for more than 6 minutes after being played.

But the numbers are only part of the experience.

Sound can be felt as much as it is heard. The vibration, the rhythm and the sustained resonance can draw your attention away from the noise of everyday life and back towards the body.

There is something beautiful about experiencing sound this way: not just listening to it, but noticing what happens within you as you do.

We love exploring how sound can become part of a deeper therapeutic experience at Inner Bloom, alongside psychotherapy and somatic approaches.

Ever felt your whole mood change because someone suddenly seemed distant?

Sometimes, uncertainty in our relationships can bring up old fears, even when nothing terrible has actually happened.

Next time it happens, try this:

🌿 Pause before reacting... Give yourself a moment before sending that extra message or assuming the worst.

🌿 Separate facts from fears... What do you actually know, and what are you imagining might be happening?

🌿 Notice what you need... Reassurance? Clarity? Connection? You’re allowed to ask for it.

The goal isn’t to stop feeling things. It’s to understand your feelings without letting them tell the whole story.

Psychotherapy can help you explore where these reactions come from and build new ways of relating to yourself and others.

Save this for the next time your mind starts filling in the blanks 🤍

We are made up of trillions of cells.

Those cells are made of molecules, and molecules are made of atoms.

At the most fundamental level, the world around us is not as solid and still as it appears.

Everything is in motion.

Nikola Tesla famously said:

“If you wish to understand the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration”

And when you start looking for rhythm and pattern, you find it everywhere…

In the spiralling arms of galaxies

In the patterns of flowers and leaves

In the Fibonacci sequence and golden ratio

In the rhythms of our breath, heartbeat and nervous system✨

Even our thoughts and emotions create experiences that we can physically feel in the body.

So what happens when we intentionally introduce sound and vibration into that environment?

đź’›This is part of what makes sound work so fascinating.

A singing bowl is not simply something you listen to. The sound creates vibration that you can hear, feel and notice within your body.

For some people, that might feel deeply calming.

For others, it may bring awareness to sensations, emotions or thoughts that were already there.

There is no right way to experience it.

At Inner Bloom, sound is explored alongside psychotherapy as another language through which we can connect with ourselves, our bodies and our inner world 🤍

Being the “strong one” can be exhausting when you never let yourself need anyone.

And being “easygoing” can feel very different when it means never expressing what you actually want.

Sometimes, the habits we pride ourselves on can also leave us feeling disconnected from ourselves.

Try asking yourself:

🌿 What am I afraid would happen if I said no?

🌿 Would I still do this if nobody expected it of me?

🌿 Can I let something be imperfect without immediately fixing it?

You don’t need to label every behaviour as a problem. Start by noticing when a choice comes from what feels right to you and when it comes from fear, guilt or the need for approval.

That awareness can be the beginning of change.

Psychotherapy offers a space to explore these patterns and discover what feels more authentic for you.

Which pattern do you find hardest to let go of? đź’

The most frustrating moment can be knowing exactly what you’re doing… and doing it anyway.

But maybe the goal was never to “know better”

Maybe it’s to create enough safety that you can finally do differently.

That takes time. And repetition. And a relationship where you don’t have to get it right every time 🤍

What’s a pattern you understand perfectly but still find yourself repeating?

If you are ready to change your patterns with a therapist you can trust, DM GROW for information about online psychotherapy sessions🌿

Getting unstuck usually doesn’t start with forcing yourself to change.

It starts with becoming curious about what happens underneath the pattern.

Ask yourself:

✨ What am I afraid might happen if I do something differently?
✨ What does this pattern help me avoid feeling?
✨ Where did I learn that I had to respond this way?
✨ What would I choose if I didn’t need everyone else to approve?

Then try one tiny experiment.

Not a complete life overhaul. Just one different response.

Pause before saying yes
Make the decision before you feel 100% certain
Let yourself rest without earning it
Say what you actually need
Notice the thought without automatically believing it

Your patterns developed for a reason.

You can understand them, create enough safety to do something differently, and slowly build a new response.

That’s where real change can begin 🤍

Your nervous system is constantly taking in information: sound, rhythm, vibration, touch, movement.

That’s one reason sound can feel so powerful.

The steady tones and vibrations of a singing bowl can give your attention something simple to follow, while creating a moment of pause from the noise around you...

And sometimes, you don’t need to think your way back to yourself.

You can listen
You can breathe
You can feel

A different language. One your body already understands ✨

Neurodiversity isn’t a trend, and it isn’t about putting people into another box.

It’s about recognising that people’s brains work differently

We take in information, manage emotions, communicate and move through the world in our own ways.

When we only make space for one “right” way to be, a lot gets misunderstood...

Therapy doesn’t have to be about trying to act more “normal”

It can be a space to understand yourself better, notice what your brain and body need, and find ways of coping that actually work for you.

Sometimes, understanding yourself can change everything 🤍

There’s a reason sound can capture our attention so quickly👂🏼

Our brains are constantly scanning the environment for changes in sound, rhythm and tone. Certain sounds can become especially noticeable when we’re overwhelmed, distressed or trying to settle.

So when a baby suddenly becomes quiet after hearing a singing bowl, it’s fascinating to watch.

But it’s important not to turn one moment into a promise: sound might not calm every person, every baby or every nervous system.

What sound therapy explores is the relationship between sound, attention, body awareness and relaxation.

The gentle tones and vibrations of singing bowls can give the mind something steady to focus on, while creating space to slow down and notice what is happening in the body.

And sometimes regulation begins with something very simple:

a sound that gives your attention somewhere safe to land 🤍

Therapy isn’t supposed to make you dependent on your therapist’s interpretation of your life.

One of the most important things to notice is whether you leave sessions feeling more connected to your own voice, not less.

You might feel challenged

You might feel uncomfortable

You might even disagree with your therapist....

And that can be part of the work.

The question is: is there enough safety and trust for you to explore that together?

That’s where the therapeutic relationship really matters 🤍
