There are certain things in life we can’t control. We all have things going on that can take away that feeling of being in control.

But one thing we can have some control over is what we eat and drink, and sometimes the biggest change we can make is changing the way we think about food.

That’s exactly what Donna did.

She made the decision to do something about her weight and that decision led her through the doors of our Friday morning group at St James Church Hall.

Donna joined us on 2nd January this year. That New Year’s resolution certainly paid off!

And it hasn’t always been plain sailing. There have been good weeks, not so good weeks and times when motivation hasn’t been quite where she wanted it to be. But Donna has kept going.

She hasn’t given up the foods she loves either. Coronation chicken and Thai curries are still firm favourites, and when she needs a sweet fix, she makes sweet waffles which really do hit the spot.

Eating out has become easy too. Donna checks the menu before she goes and has a couple of choices up her sleeve, so she can enjoy going out without it becoming a big deal. And she finishes with fruit salad and yoghurt, which she may or may not sneakily take with her! 😂

For me, that’s what this journey is all about. Finding a way of eating that fits around your life, the foods you enjoy and the things you love doing.

It’s been a journey of self discovery, commitment and motivation, and Donna has now lost an amazing **2 stone!**

Just look at the difference in these pictures ❤️

Donna, you should be so proud of yourself. I’m very proud of you and absolutely love seeing the changes, not just in these pictures, but in the way you’re approaching your journey too.

Have you ever wondered if the biggest thing standing between you and your weight loss... is you?

Before you stop reading, hear me out.

Most of us don't want to give up the foods and drinks we love. W**e, chocolate, crisps, biscuits, takeaways... they're often part of comfort, celebrations, family time and socialising. That's completely normal.

But if we keep doing what we've always done, we'll keep getting the same results.

Food Optimising isn't about missing out. It's about improving your health and wellbeing while still enjoying food and losing weight along the way.

If losing weight is your dream, and that dream matters enough to you, then it might be time to try something different. It could be changing your mindset, finding new ways to socialise, planning meals a little better, or simply believing that you can do it.

The good news? You don't have to do it on your own.

In my group, you'll be warmly welcomed every week and supported by people who truly understand the journey. You'll find the tools, the ideas, the encouragement and the accountability to help you make real changes, one step at a time.

All you need is a dream... and the willingness to give something new a try.

Come and join us – you might just find it's the best decision you ever make. ❤️

With love

✨ Wedding countdown: 2 weeks to go! ✨

With just two weeks until she says "I do," Charlotte Barr has achieved her Club 10 award, and I couldn't be prouder! 🎉

Charlotte began her Slimming World journey with me before moving to Slimming World with Lou in Taunton, as the group times worked better around her life. Lou has been supporting her every step of the way, but this week Charlotte couldn't make her usual group, so she visited Dawn Booths Slimming World groups in Taunton, which I happened to be covering while Dawn is on holiday 😁

It was such a lovely surprise to see her walk through the door and even more special to be able to celebrate her amazing achievement together. ❤️

One of the things I love most about Slimming World is that your journey doesn't stop just because you can't make your usual group. Members can visit any Slimming World group, meaning there's always support, encouragement and a warm welcome waiting for you. That's exactly what Charlotte did, and it shows just how committed she is to reaching her goals.

Charlotte, your determination has been incredible to watch. You've stayed focused, trusted the plan and kept going, even with all the excitement and busyness that comes with planning a wedding.

We're all so proud of you and can't wait to see you feeling confident, happy and radiant on your big day. Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness. Congratulations, Charlotte! 💍🥂💕
