β¨ A LITTLE LIFE UPDATEβ¦ AND A REMINDER TO LISTEN TO YOURSELF β¨
To all my lovely clients, I wanted to share a little update with you. π
Iβll be taking some time out over the next couple of months to rest, recover and focus on my health. Iβm dealing with a minor health issue that Iβm healing from, so I wonβt be offering treatments or classes again until next year, health permitting.
As someone who is always encouraging others to slow down, look after themselves and put their wellbeing first, itβs time for me to take my own advice. πΏ
The truth is, I was running on empty. I kept going, giving, showing up and trying to be all things to all peopleβ¦ until my health gave me a much-needed kick in the teeth. Sometimes, when we donβt listen to the gentle whispers of our bodies, they have no choice but to shout a little louder.
And it got me thinking about how many women, especially those of us navigating menopause and midlife, are doing exactly the same.
Weβre so used to being the carers, the nurturers, the organisers, the ones everyone can rely on. We say yes when we want to say no. We put everyone else first and feel guilty when we finally choose ourselves.
But hereβs the thingβ¦ β€οΈ
We cannot pour from an empty cup, and we were never meant to be everything to everyone.
Menopause is so much more than a physical transition. It can be a powerful turning point in our lives, inviting us to pause, reassess, let go of what no longer serves us and reconnect with who we really are.
This is our time to do things differently.
β¨ To set boundaries without feeling guilty.
β¨ To say no to the things that drain our energy.
β¨ To stop people-pleasing at the expense of our own wellbeing.
β¨ To rest without feeling we have to earn it.
β¨ To nurture ourselves with the same love and compassion we so freely give to others.
β¨ To embrace this next chapter with confidence, courage and kindness.
Choosing yourself isnβt selfish. Itβs necessary.
We donβt have to keep pushing through exhaustion to prove our worth. We donβt have to justify our need for rest. And we certainly donβt have to keep living by expectations that leave us feeling depleted.
Sometimes the bravest thing we can do is stop, take a breath and give ourselves permission to slow down.
So, for now, Iβm practising what I preach, honouring what my body needs and giving myself the time and space to heal properly. This is my opportunity to recharge, reset and come back to myself. π
Thank you so much for your love, kindness, patience and continued support. Iβm incredibly grateful for every one of you, and I look forward to welcoming you back for next year.
In the meantime, please take this as your gentle reminder to check in with yourself, too.
You matter. Your health matters. Your energy matters. And this chapter of your life deserves to be lived, not simply survived. πΈ
Hereβs to slowing down, letting go of the guilt, finding our strength in softness and embracing this beautiful new stage of life on our own terms.
With love and gratitude πβ¨
