Hand It To Lexi Lexi is our brave 13-year-old who was born with an upper limb difference due to amniotic band syndrome.

We’re fundraising for a Hero Arm which is a bionic prosthetic to help her live life with greater confidence and independence.

I need your help,our petition campaign has ground to a halt - we need 10,000 signatures by16th Dec for parliament to respond. We’ve shared, given out hundreds of flyers, spoken at conferences, asked everyone we know, approached local press, written to SEND departments but still have a huge gap - I’m out of ideas, really grateful for any suggestions and support. Letters to MPs have resulted in the DHSC citing radiation levels - I’m not buying that as the NHS data that they use themselves says this simple 5 min x ray is the equivalent of 1.5 days of sunshine.
I’m feeling really sad but not ready to give up. Any help gratefully received, Jane x

Petition: Require NHS to offer base line X-rays for children born with a limb difference

Limb different children have unusual anatomy. Without a baseline X-ray on NHS records, some A&E doctors can’t tell what is an injury & what is the norm for that child. We want every limb different child to have a baseline X-ray at diagnosis, stored and easily accessible
