Hypothesis: the best ADC discovery conversations happen after the main course.

Test conditions: Madrid, the first evening of ESMO, October 23, 7–10pm. We're calling it Sobremesa, the Spanish word for the time after a meal when the conversation really gets going.

Our co-founder and CSO Dániel Veres, CBO Louisa Roberts and VP of Product Innovation & Strategy Krishna Bulusu will be there all night to talk about how teams use vLab® to make predictions that change ADC discovery decisions. Drinks and tapas are on us, and you can drop in whenever you're free.

Sample size: small, on purpose. Places are limited and registration is subject to approval, so request your spot fast and we'll confirm.

When do you trust virtual cells to guide your bench? đź’ˇ

Daniel Veres, MD, PhD (CSO & Co-founder) and Giorgio Gaglia, PhD (Head of Systems and Disease Biology at Sanofi) sat down with Yolandi de Weerdt to tackle a question many R&D leaders are facing: what decisions has virtual biology earned the right to inform?

Dani brings decades of experience in building and applying virtual cell models and Giorgio is actively evaluating where they can be trusted. This conversation explores where there is trust and utility today, and what might be possible in the future.

How do we move beyond slow, empirical trial-and-error in ADC discovery? 🎯

Our Scientific Project Lead, Jerzy Woźnicki, is taking the stage at the World ADC Conference in San Diego. In this session, Jurek will present our latest data showing how vLab® guides ADC discovery programs from in vitro payload selection through ADC in vivo translation. Our poster covers mapping ADC sensitivity across ~1400 cell line models, predicting synergistic combinations to overcome resistance, and identifying biomarkers beyond target expression to inform preclinical patient-model selection. We'll also showcase how the predictions line up with established clinical and experimental evidence.

Catch him on day two (October 14, 12:30 PM) at the Discovery Biology track, and during the poster session (poster 82).

Team Turbine is heading to World ADC in San Diego.

With vLab® ADC Intelligence, ADC teams can run virtual experiments before committing wet lab resources to answer questions like:

▪️ Positioning - In which indications is your ADC or payload most effective, and what are the biomarkers of sensitivity or resistance?
▪️ Combinations - Which payload pairs and ADC-small molecule combinations are the most synergistic?
▪️ Translation - How translatable are your in vitro ADC efficacy results into PDX models?

The platform simulates responses for 113 drugs and combinations (including 6 ADCs and 21 payloads), across 1348 biosamples mapped to patient subtypes, plus the option to model your own molecules and samples.

Conversations about virtual cells kept ending at "interesting". So we focused on building a platform that lets our partners predict experimental outcomes for ADC discovery.

That focus led to today's expanded collaboration with Daiichi Sankyo, a global leader in ADCs. Our co-founder and CEO Szabolcs Nagy explains which experiments are the real bottlenecks, and why a virtual cell only matters to us once scientists outside Turbine can use it.

Szabi's original post is in the comments.

Another top pharma on vLab®!

Building on a successful feasibility program, our virtual lab will now support Daiichi Sankyo's proprietary ADC programs, using Virtual Assays to guide payload, combination, indication and biomarker decisions across a vast biological search space. With every lab-in-the-loop cycle, experimental validation feeds back into our models, creating a compounding learning effect across ADC discovery.

We are excited to expand the collaboration into Daiichi Sankyo’s proprietary programs and combine its data and ADC expertise to accelerate the discovery of novel cancer therapies.

Missed Virtual Biology Meetup 3? You can now watch the full session!

In the third episode, on September 15, we asked what the field really needs to know: how do Virtual Assays earn trust in real R&D decisions?

Ci Chu, PhD (Xaira Therapeutics) explained how massive perturbation datasets are teaching virtual cell models to work in biology they've never seen. Krishna C Bulusu, PhD (Turbine) showed what happens when you stop asking "can it predict?" and start asking "can it change a decision?" In the closing fireside, Vinay Varadan, PhD (Merck) sat down with Daniel Veres, MD, PhD (Turbine) for an honest conversation about using Virtual Assays inside pharma: where they've earned trust, and where skepticism still makes sense.

Big news: Turbine has been nominated again for the Prix Galien USA Award in the Best Startup category 🏅

Often referred to as the "Nobel Prize for biopharma innovation," the Prix Galien has spent two decades recognizing the people and companies pushing biomedical science forward. Being named among this year's nominees is a meaningful nod to what our team has built: a platform that virtualizes practical biological assays, so drug discovery moves faster and with a higher probability of success.

vLab™ exists because Turbiners built it. Our partners chose to reimagine drug discovery alongside us. This nomination belongs as much to them as to us.

We'll be cheering on the full class of nominees at the awards ceremony on October 29 at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City.

Congratulations to all companies who also made the shortlist! See the full list here:

The Virtual Biology Meetup is back for round three, and this episode gets real about R&D.

We're picking up a question that keeps coming up in R&D: predictions are one thing, but do these tools actually hold up when real decisions are on the line? From scaling Perturb-seq to a fireside on what it actually takes to adopt virtual biology inside a pharma organization, this one goes past the hype and into practice.

Joining the conversation:
🔹 Ci Chu, PhD (Xaira Therapeutics)
🔹 Vinay Varadan, PhD (Merck)
🔹 Krishna Bulusu, PhD (Turbine)
Moderated by Daniel Veres, MD, PhD, Co-founder & CSO at Turbine.
