This is the first needle free adrenaline nasal spray for the emergency treatment of severe allergic reactions including anaphylaxis in Ireland

It comes in two doses 1mg for children aged 4 and older weighing 15kg to 30kg and 2mg for adults and children weighing 30kg or more (2mg only available in Ireland so far)

No needle, no injection, just a spray into the nose at the first sign of a severe reaction

Always carry two doses and seek emergency medical help immediately after use

It delivers epinephrine (adrenaline) through the nasal lining directly into the bloodstream, instead of via injection into muscle.

Once absorbed, the epinephrine works the same way injectable epinephrine does: it tightens blood vessels to raise blood pressure, relaxes airway muscles to ease breathing, and reduces swelling and hives

Have you heard of this? Would you use it?

Meet PVX108- a new approach to peanut allergy treatment.

Instead of using whole peanut protein PVX108 uses 7 tiny lab-made peptide fragments that mimic small pieces of the peanut allergen.

These fragments are too small to trigger a full allergic reaction, but they’re enough to “teach” the immune system to recognize peanut and calm down its overreaction- building tolerance without the risk of severe reactions during treatment

The science so far:

✅ Phase 1 trials in adults showed it was safe and well tolerated, with only mild injection-site reactions as the main side effect

✅ Researchers saw promising immune shifts-more regulatory T-cells (the immune system’s “peacekeepers”) and other markers linked to tolerance

✅ It even earned FDA Fast Track designation to help speed up development

What’s next?

A Phase 2 trial is currently underway in kids and teens (ages 4–17) with peanut allergy, across the US and Australia. Participants get monthly doses for 44 weeks, and researchers are measuring how much peanut protein they can tolerate afterward. Results are expected later in 2026

We went to to try their beautiful mousse’s!

Have you tried them?

What other desserts would you recommend in Dublin to try?

Allergy information: they have their allergens clearly displayed BUT there is a peanut mousse and a pistachio mousse and they all have dairy, egg and wheat, some have soya.

Thanks to for the inspiration
