Don’t use essential oils on your Cat!!
I had to learn this the hard way…..
this is Arthur my cat 🐈‍⬛ and I’ve nearly killed him the other day when
I mixed some castor oil with Rosemary essential oil and applied on a bald spot on his back …..
what I didn’t know was that apparently essential oils are poisonous for cats. I should have known better!
At first he started crying and was distressed and I thought the oil might have burnt him or he felt strange sensation as it had a very strong smell. But later on he became very lethargic and sad, seating in a strange position.

My son came home and asked what was wrong with the Cat and I told him I put some oils on him. He looked it up and read it is dangerous for cat and can cause vomiting, diarrhoea, seizures, they can become very sad and even death !! Essential oils effect their nervous system!

So we called the Vet and they said to bring him over .
Before we left I gave the cat some Nux Vomica and by the time we got to the vet he was quite alert, perhaps also due to adrenaline from travelling in the car getting into his cat box for transfer.

The vet checked him and found he had fever, ( 39.9 is very high for cats). then they washed him to remove any remaining oils from his fair.
She advised washing with mild dishwashing liquid will help to wash off the oil.
She said that the most toxic oil is
Tea Tree oil…. It’s can damage thier liver and it’s might stop them from producing important enzyme.
She suggested doing some blood works to see if there is liver damage but that it might need to be repeated in few days as it might not show signs of damage yet.
I felt I rather wait for the morning and see how he feels as I didn’t want him to be even more distressed …….
So we went home and he eat and drank today he continued to improve. Thanks God he is ok!

So remember No essential oils near your cat !
And Homeopathy can really help!
Nux Vomica is a great remedy that can help with poisoning and can help support the liver!

A recent double-blind randomised clinical trial, conducted by researchers at a homeopathic hospital in Kolkata, India, has shown the beneficial effects of individualised homeopathic medicines compared to placebo in patients with hyperuricemia. Hyperuricemia is diagnosed when patients show elevated levels of uric acid in their blood. Uric acid is normally excreted by the kidneys, but when this begins to fail the risk of uric crystals forming in the body increases, which can lead to gout and kidney stones. 60 patients received either individualised homeopathic medicines or placebo for 3 months, with regular assessments. Purple Stars in the Grass

Homeopathy for the raised beds and polytunnel today. We have a busy smallholding here in Northern Ireland. We use organic and regenerative methods, but it’s the first year we’ve used homeopathy for the soil and plants - the humans and animals here are well used to being treated! I’m really enjoying Agri Homeopathy course. Will be implementing more as the season progresses 🌼

Last November I had my first introduction to with Camilla Sherr Homeopathy for Garden & farm. It was actually a Canadian farmer that alerted me to the course. I was very impressed at how it was delivered in a very easy to understand way.
Camilla informed us about her Patreon page and the differ tiers that are available. I decided to go with the top tier @ €100 / month for two reasons, I knew that if I was to go about this the right way I would save a nice sum of money - allowing me to reinvest it back into and also my fellow Tanzanian farmers were going to benefit from my monthly fee. Which I find very rewarding
Part of the package was to have a one hour call with Camilla to pick her brain and today the first of these zoom calls happened. All I can say I was not disappointed. she just give me that confidence boost to keep going and not be afraid to ask more questions from for the rest of the growing season. The great thing for is I can continue been a commercial practicing with organic principles.
Also Camilla give me permission to use some of her slides for my talk on Saturday Afternoon at the sustainability and biodiversity festival in Enniscorthy County Wicklow. It is going to be a great talk !!!
