Volunteers with scars wanted – Tralee, 26th & 27th September

I’m looking for a small number of volunteer clients with scars to take part in supervised clinical sessions during the upcoming Restore Scar Therapy Practitioner training course at Tralee Physiotherapy Clinic.

The volunteers will be treated by qualified therapists who are completing specialist training in scar therapy, with close supervision and guidance throughout the session.

We would love to hear from people with scars that are causing problems such as tightness, restriction, sensitivity, discomfort, pulling or reduced movement, or simply scars that feel different from the surrounding tissue.

Scars can be from surgery, injury, Caesarean section, cancer treatment or other procedures. They do not need to be recent – older scars are very welcome too.

The session will include an assessment followed by gentle, hands-on scar therapy techniques appropriate to the individual scar. There is no charge for the session.
