We were proud to take part in the 2nd Annual Emergency Medicine Boot Camp at המרכז הרפואי האוניברסיטאי הדסה , working directly with the department's emergency medicine residents.

What Ahmad Nama and his team are building here is rare. A program that trains its residents to think, not just to memorize. That is exactly where the Israel Aerospace Medical Association comes in. We brought the residents a new way to look at medicine, one that questions what we take for granted and reframes the field through the lens of the human body at its limits. Then we put it straight into their hands, with critical thinking simulations built to make them solve, not spectate.

This is exactly the vision our CEO, Dr. Summer Sofer, pushes IAsMA to bring: broadening how people see medicine, and showing them how much there is to gain and learn from this field.

A big thank you to Aliza Goldman for reaching out and thinking of us, and to Dr. Ahmad Nama and the whole team for having us. This is the start of something we are excited to keep building.

And more people in Israel deserve to know it exists.

NASA’s GeneLab for Colleges and Universities (GL4U) courses are free, public, and open to anyone, anywhere. You can explore them directly through NASA — no gatekeeping, no cost.

So what is IAsMA adding?

The IAsMA Space Biology Learning Network is a community for students, researchers, healthcare professionals, and anyone curious about human spaceflight to explore these resources together.
