What Is Fatty Liver?
Fatty liver means that excess fat has built up inside the liver. A small amount of liver fat can be normal, but too much can cause inflammation and, over time, liver damage.
⚠️ Common Causes & Risk Factors
Being overweight or having excess body fat
Type 2 diabetes or insulin resistance
High cholesterol or triglycerides
Eating a lot of sugary/refined foods
Low physical activity
Alcohol use can also cause a different type of fatty liver disease
🤔 Symptoms
Many people have no symptoms, especially in the early stages. Some may experience:
Tiredness
Discomfort in the upper-right abdomen
Occasionally, abnormal liver blood tests
🔬 How Is It Diagnosed?
Doctors may use:
Liver function blood tests (LFT)
Ultrasound
Sometimes FibroScan/elastography
Other tests when needed to rule out different liver conditions
🥗 What Helps?
There isn't usually a single medicine that “cleans” the liver. Management generally focuses on the underlying cause and lifestyle:
✅ Eat a balanced diet with plenty of vegetables, whole grains and protein
✅ Choose water instead of sugary drinks
✅ Be physically active regularly
✅ If a person has excess weight, gradual, medically appropriate weight loss can help reduce liver fat
✅ Manage diabetes, cholesterol and blood pressure if present
❌ Avoid unnecessary “liver detox” products or supplements
Important: Fatty liver can sometimes progress to inflammation, scarring (fibrosis) and cirrhosis, so medical follow-up is important—especially if liver tests are abnormal or fibrosis is suspected.

5 Health Benefits of Kiwi
1. 🛡️ Supports Immunity
Kiwi is rich in vitamin C, which helps support the normal function of the immune system and protects cells from oxidative stress.
2. ❤️ Supports Heart Health
Kiwi provides potassium and fiber, nutrients that can contribute to a heart-healthy diet. Potassium also helps maintain normal blood pressure.
3. 🌿 Helps Digestion
Kiwi contains dietary fiber and an enzyme called actinidin. Fiber supports regular bowel movements, while actinidin may help with the digestion of proteins.
4. 👁️ Supports Eye Health
Kiwi contains lutein and zeaxanthin, plant compounds that are important for eye health. It also provides vitamin C and other antioxidants.
5. 😴 May Support Better Sleep
Some research has found that eating kiwi may be associated with improvements in sleep quality and sleep duration, although more research is needed to understand the effect fully.
🥝 Bottom line: Kiwi is a nutrient-dense fruit that provides vitamin C, fiber, potassium and antioxidant compounds. It can be a healthy addition to a balanced diet.

“Did you know that amla can be an exceptionally rich source of Vitamin C?
We often think of lemon when we hear about Vitamin C.
But Indian gooseberry, commonly known as amla, is also packed with this important nutrient.
According to the comparison in this graphic, 100 grams of lemon contains about 53 mg of Vitamin C, while amla is shown at around 600 mg per 100 grams. However, the actual amount in amla can vary depending on the variety, freshness and how it is measured.
So, what makes Vitamin C important?
🍊 First — immunity: Vitamin C plays an important role in normal immune function.
🧬 Second — collagen: Your body needs Vitamin C to make collagen, which is important for connective tissues and normal wound healing.
🩸 Third — iron absorption: Vitamin C can help your body absorb non-heme iron, the type of iron mainly found in plant foods.
🛡️ And finally — antioxidant function: Vitamin C acts as an antioxidant and helps protect cells from oxidative damage.
But remember — more Vitamin C doesn't automatically mean better health. A balanced diet with different fruits and vegetables is the best approach.
So next time you see this small green fruit, remember: Amla is small in size, but potentially very rich in Vitamin C! 💚

Did you know that guava can have more than four times the Vitamin C of an orange?
An orange contains around 53 milligrams of Vitamin C per 100 grams, while guava can provide around 228 milligrams—more than four times as much!
Vitamin C supports your immune system, helps your body produce collagen for healthy skin and tissues, and improves the absorption of iron from plant-based foods.
Guava is also rich in dietary fiber, which supports healthy digestion. Oranges also provide water, fiber, potassium, and folate, making them a nutritious choice.
Both fruits contain antioxidants that help protect your cells from oxidative stress.
So, when it comes to Vitamin C, guava is the clear winner! 🍈🏆
But remember, both guava and oranges are healthy fruits, and eating a variety of fruits is a great choice for a balanced diet.
